Fanzine sellers being removed?

When I bought the fanzine off Murray it looked as if some club officials were trying to get the B&A sellers removed from the narrows? Is this true?

There was a concern over the free CDs so we were politely asked to stop selling them

We were told that the referee had complained and feared they would be thrown onto the pitch

I cannot confirm that the referee had indeed said this, and I have my doubts whether the referee had actually seen a copy

They were very polite and we undertsand their concern

And it didn;t really bother us because we had sold the final handful of all 460 copies as they asked us to stop

There were indeed 460 CDs inside the ground and none of them were thrown onto the pitch despite the extreme provocation from the players dressed in Blue.

But it is a good idea to prevent people from exchanging a harmless object such as a pound coin for one of those notoriously dangerous photo CDs.

I have heard this morning that all Music/DVD outlets in Shropshire will be closed 24 hours prior to a Town home game just in case anyone purchases a CD and brings it with them to a game and uses it as a missile to throw on the pitch.

Has anyone ever thrown a CD?

Chances of it going where you want it to go are a bit like my Golf shots

i think from talking to a couple of stewards after the game the main fear was if the were snapped in half, they could be a bit dangerous!

It cannot have had anything to do with the objects themselves (I took a bottle of wine and about 300 coins into the game with me yesterday), simply the large numbers of them about.

I think the crowd showed remarkable restraint not stoning the players in blue with hundreds of CDs

I know I'm older than most on here (I think) and I know my friends think I'm naive but despite (as others have said) extreme provocation from the team in Blue it would never have occurred to me to throw a CD on the pitch!!!!!!

However, now the stewards have given me the idea ............

This isn't another wind up is it similar to the one about fanzine sellers being banned from the narrows!!?

I always take CDs into the Meadow because when I come to town I always end up hitting the CD shops first. Once I managed to smuggle 100 CDs into a Coventry City game but I was hardly going to lob them on the pitch as they were bought to resell
