Signed for Burton on a 6 month loan deal.
You would like to think we would have gone for him. How the hell have we been outbid by Burton?
If we didn't go for him then it begs the question did we know he was available. If not why not.
If we knew he was available but SC didn't want him then he must know something we don't.
Either way a really good player that would have been just what we need has gone to our league 1 rival.

The player SC talked about having a relationship with? I mean can't say I'm that surprised as he was on the bench quite a lot, but given how much SC is apparently 'respected' in the game, a lot of players seemingly don't want to play for him!

Something is seriously wrong at our club.

The same Burton that refunded their fans season tickets?
At least we’re ‘giving it a go’ though.

I think that Burton are possibly more appealing than town at present.

I think that Burton are possibly more appealing than town at present. You might well be right, and the key question is why are they? And I mean that in absolutely no disrespect to Burton who are now every bit as established in league one as we are, but why are they consistently better and more attractive than us? Is it ambition?

This signing is like getting dumped by your girlfriend because she needed a break and then later finding out she’s shagging your best mate.

Says it all I’m afraid that Burton are a more appealing prospect than us to players and other managers.

Thank **** we don't play em again until Feb to avoid him dancing through our defence as he rattles home a 20 yarder into the top bin.

That's a real kick in the pips 😕
But who's to say that we were actually in the running for him and Burton are also as good as if not a better proposition than us anyway.

It's ok, incoming video from BC, "we couldn't do any more, player nearly came, the chairman backed the manager, shows the ambition of the club", etc.

Let’s look at Mr Chappers from a different viewpoint.
He burst on the scene with great goals in the early weeks of his loan but quickly went off the boil and latterly was a benchwarmer.
Did he have fitness issues or an attitude problem which might explain why we didn’t want him back or he didn’t want to come for fear of being on the bench.
I want players in my team that are 110% Salop focused
No loss
mark duffy on the other hand………

After watching SC antics last sat don't think I would want to play for him. And don't forget SC played Chapman from the bench a number of times last season.which still sticks in the memory. I should imagine Chapman will be first on team sheet each game for Burton......

Five years time I wouldn't be surprised to see him the National League. Talent isn't enough alone.

I'm cool that we can't compete with most of our fellow league one clubs, we've always known that. But, we should be competing by being the place loan players in particular want to come. There's clearly something from his previous spell that has put him off.
Mostly though, I'm just peed off with the 'have a go comments' but then we sell Norburn yet still don't bring anyone in. It's not good enough and by any objective measure is not us 'having a go'.

His performances earned him selection in the PFA League One Team of the Year.

Are we in some Netflix docu we're unaware of, are they just sending all this our way for ratings? What a start to the season this has turned out to be. It just seems to go from bad to worse.
Let's hope there is some news to cheer us later this evening. As this is just getting silly now.

And looking to the situation at Blackburn it was always on the cards he'd be out on loan again soon enough. And I must say, I did think we'd have a very good chance seeing him return. Rum.

I suppose as a consolation, at least Burton will be going bust by the end of the season so that’s one relegation spot taken.
That’s why we don’t sign players isn’t it, because signing players puts the future of the club in grave danger?

Jesus foookin christ.
Been out of the loop all day, come home to this.
1) Once again we cant score a goal in 90 mins at home. 2) Weve still signed nobody despite having a laughingly called "Head of Recruitment" to source players for us, and a squad seriously down on numbers. 3) Weve been told of a large handful of players who have turned us down. 4) Now our brightest loan in recent years Chapman has been signed by the league giants Burton foookin Albion (no disrespect).
Roland if you are selling up, please, please do it quickly - I've always supported you and the way you run the club but these last few months it's become a total joke.

Just be grateful we aren't a Bury, Darlington, Telford, Hereford, Chester etc. That's the official line.
