Good luck to the Town tonight. If any players are reading this then be ruthless, just like SC says, go for it and stick four of five past them.
And defend it like your life depended on it.
Then do the same at the weekend.

Is the match on live stream or iFollow? Neither....Carabao games are purposely selected for live streams and/or Live TV. Unsuprisingly Town vs Rochdale wasn't one of them. Only games to view on TV or online tonight is Barrow vs Villa & Huddersfield vs Everton.

Is the match on live stream or iFollow? I have a feeling it might be audio only I can see Harry starting , Daniels , Whalley and maybe ogbeta down the left , cosgrove & bloxham in the centre ( where the 6ft 5” man should be ) The new kid from Leicester will obviously start in the middle , hope he does ok but I noticed he only had “try and go around on the defenders left side”in his locker Maybe ebl back too ? 4-2-4 ?

this is a game were we could experiment on a better way to keep a clean sheet, different formation, having a swepper or more defensive midfielder in a deeper role and build from defence

Looking forward to the match tonight. Hopefully we can get past Rochdale in normal time and then get a good tie home or away against a premier league side

www.shropshirestar.com/sport/football/shrewsbury-town-fc/2021/08/24/we-need-more--steve-cotterill-tells-shrewsburys-sam-cosgrove/"Sam Cosgrove has been urged to heed a 'wake-up call' following a difficult home debut at Shrewsbury Town."He didn't play a lot of football for Aberdeen before he came down to Birmingham City – he hasn't played a lot of football. Saturday might be a bit of a wake-up call to him that he might need to do more." Boss Cotterill leads his side out at home to League Two Rochdale this evening in a Carabao Cup second round clash in the hope of more Cup joy following the penalty shootout success against Lincoln a fortnight ago. The manager is likely to freshen his side up and there could be a full debut for new loanee Khanya Leshabela following a bright cameo at the weekend.Cotterill said: "We are trying to do things, so I'm not frustrated at what we're trying to do, but I'm disappointed at what has happened. "Because we've put an enormous amount of work into all of the games. It's not just the strikers either, we do our set-plays every week, but we need to get our head on the ball in their box. "And, on a regular basis, in our own box. That has been the disappointing thing, the outcome. "The processes, in where we're trying to get to, are on track, but I'm not saying that in a blasé way. If we'd have won on Saturday 1-0, you'd have been saying what a brilliant performance. "We ended up with something like 500 passes. I'm not saying that gets you points, because it doesn't. But by having more possession, being better on the ball when we go a goal down – last year you would've thought we'd struggle to get back in the game – now if we keep creating that many chances, eventually it'll unfold and somebody will get a goal."

Looking forward to the match tonight. Hopefully we can get past Rochdale in normal time and then get a good tie home or away against a premier league side I think we have to beat them in normal time (or go to pens). Pretty sure there was no extra time against Lincoln so will it be any different this time? Not saying that it's right, firstly we get rid of replays then we get rid if extra time. How long before we try to save our players further by playing just 45 mins? Just another way to cheapen Cup football.

Carabao cup games will go straight to pens if level after 90 mins apart from the final.

Not much love lost between Rochdale and Oldham. Just a few miles apart over M62. Ok, maybe I'm clutching at straws to give us a slight chance, hopefully he will be on our side. good job John Telford isn’t in charge then He’d probably get mixed up with the ball boys, bless him!! Knee high to a grasshopper that one!!

Decent team. Tonight is a good test of whether or not we do have a decent squad struggling to find itself, without the increasing pressure of chasing a first league goal/point/win.
It'd be fitting to hear a classic Stones song at half time too, but maybe not (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction!

Remain at 442? Surprisingly strong team - don't know what Daniels can do to get a start!

Saw the team and chose to go at 19:15. Thought we’d make more changes than that, was 50/50 on going so a strong team convinced me.

Ebl ,free but soft header that’s was not troubling a 5 year old Dale 1 decent chance should have scored but a combination of good goalkeeping and not the best connection They have had 2 other crosses that could have gone anywhere We look strong in the tackle and you’d think we’ll wear them down second half and win 2-0 last 15 was very slightly in favour of Dale Pyke is non existent as is cosgrove , bloxham will quickly change the game if we use him, bowman needs 45 too Daniels would be useful ,too ,what had he done wrong ?

Getting to HT without going a goal down an achievement. Baby steps, now an STFC goal to kickstart things.
