What's everyone reading now and who can suggest a good read for me to move on to now?
I've just finished reading a book called the Operators by James Rennie. All about the training and work of operators in N.Ireland - now that would be a job that would get your bloody pumping I'm sure.
And a quality book it was too.

Great books to read that are highly recommended are:
Join me - Danny Wallace Are you Dave Gorman - Dave Gorman & Danny Wallace Round Ireland with a Fridge - Tony Hawks Playing the Maldovans at Tennis - Tony Hawks One hit Wonderland - Tony Hawks
All are written by comedians that have taken on extremely daft bets and tried to fulfill them and they are all hilarious and are must reads for anyone.
If you like politics then try 'stranger than fiction - Jeffery Archer biography' by Michael Crick which is a great book. As is 'stupid white men' by michael Moore.
For sport books I've yet to read better than the 2 Brian Clough books and the Stuart Pearce book is also fantastic.
The book 'catch me if you can' is also very good. In fact I refuse to watch the film because it can never be as good as the book.
Let me know if get any of these or have already read them.
Happy reading.

You may well have read it, but if not, Stupid White Men is a must. Unless you're a reactionary, right-wing appologist, of course. Great effort on the site by the way. Congrats to all concerned.

If you want a bit of light relief then you could do worse than read a Tom Sharp book.
I highly recommend the Wilt series.

I recommend a book called Guns, Germs And Steel by Jared Diamond. It's kind of history/anthropology.

I'm reading the first in a series by Robert Jordan called 'from the two rivers'
It's a Lord of the rings type fantasy story which is really excellent for just sinking your head into - has some very interesting plots in it

Currently reading 'Down the Highway', a biography of Bob Dylan.
A bit of Bill Bryson next I think.

I've been reading " down the Highway",(by Howard Sounes) too- it was a present from my daughter, who knows I'm a Dylan fan!! I've also been reading a book about Charles Rennie Mackintosh- who designed all sorts of things- from buildings (Glasgow College of Art) to those strange high- backed chairs. For anyone who likes rags to riches stories- I've read and enjoyed "The Road to Nab End"- by William Woodruff. Oh- and me and my little group have been reading 1 Timothy!!!
