Nope. Judging by the atmopshere at the Meadow today I think it's in a lot of people's minds. The place will be empty before final whistle and they can't even be bothered to boo. And I can't even be bothered to be there

I think you may be right there craig, an air of resignation at the Meadow would suggest supporters are not only fearing the worst but expecting it?

Without a doubt. I think people have begun to realise that supporting the team isn't making a bit of difference, and neither is booing. Attendances are dwindling and people seem to have given up.

It's a good job they sold loads of season tickets or we'd be getting crowds under 2000 at this rate.

The club sure don't seem to have built on the optimism and enthusiasm of last year.
Must be a disappointing time, as even though performances have been very poor, the rate at which crowds have dwindled, and apathy appears to have set in, is alarming.

No one thought that we were going down under Ratcliffe un til the fat lady finally sang but it is clearly evident from our side today that we are clearly a pile of *hite and show every likelihood that we are going back to The Conference.
THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not true, a couple of us knew what was going to happen back in 02/03. But that's what happens when you are a pessimistic STFC fan, you tend to be right more often than not

Not at all, considering the crap that is continually on show I think attendances have held up brilliantly.
There cant have been more than 300 Mansfield fans there today.
Well to be honest we were bored, just plain and simply bored. Not surprised but dissapointed with the performance.
Think we all just wanted the whistle to blow asap so we could feck off.

Terrible yesterday. Not one of them looked bothered-really pathetic. Why in the name of god is Tinson captain? Surely I cant be alone in my dislike for this overweight liability! Sums up the mointain GP has to climb when his 'supersub' striker is John Grant! On paper at least this must be the worst Shrewsbury team ever assembled! Still think were gonna stay up mind ;D

A couple of wins and everything will look better, we just need to make sure we stay up this season, then hopefully GP can bring in a lot of new faces during the summer, then build on from that. we as fans need to sing our balls off whenever we can.

I don't agree about crowds dwindling. 3,400 yesterday (of which over 3,000 were Town fans) is very good all things considered. The last home game before XMAS, especially those that are pushed to 12 noon kick-offs, are usually poorly attended.

5th highest crowd in the division yesterday. Incredible really.
I'm gald we have 3 more decent chances of points within the next 13 days.
I'm genuinely unsure whether Tinson, Whitehead, Challis, Sedgemore, Grant, Darby, Edwards and Tolley are currently good enough for League 2 football.
Add in the suspensions and injuries, plus the off form of Howie (he would have saved 1 of those 2 on a better day), Rodgers and Street and you have Langmead left.
I haven't judged any of the loan signings yet (Ashton and Burns were woeful yesterday) but we need to see the spirit shown against Chester, Sc***horpe and Swansea appear in every single game if we're to stay up.
We also need to start scoring goals.

Yes the way the crowds are keeping is amazing really, was it about 6 years ago when we were in the 2nd division (now league 1) and gates were dropping under 2,000. So to get 3,000+ home fans on the week before xmas and a 12 ko to witness utter sh!te isn't bad at all
Makes me the laugh the amount of people I hear "Im not paying to watch this cr@p again" but you'll see them the next game
To be honest I think a lot have people have woken up and realised how poor we are and just expect it now. A few years ago teams you'd turn up and people would just expect to beat teams like Mansfield '& Rochdale but after the past years of just surviving people are now grateful just for a decent performance.

all that can save us is that 2 or 3 other sides are equally poor
