Wow, that is exciting.
All we need now is a few new players to play in the new kit.

Don't know, but if you visit the admiral website one of the first pictures that comes up in "our brands" is a player in a "tuffins" shirt.

Umbro join the Salop family or Salop join the Umbro family?
Anyway, what's with all these families we have nowadays?

Just heard we've signed Umbro. Is he one of those Brazilian players with only one name? What position does he play?

Whilst I realise that this is obviously driven by Commercial factors, I find it ironic that we are moving on from the suppliers of the best kit have had for years. Good luck Umbro, but remember - we play in stripes.

Umbro have a hard act to follow - the Town has steadily improved its kit provider over the last decade and Admiral has been excellent.
Anyway, amber shorts and socks please.

I'm pretty sure the club wouldn't have agreed to go with Umbro unless they could give us something with amber so this looks to be really good news. Very much looking forward to see what they come up with. If its anything like the striped kits we have had in the past it should be decent enough. I do like the broad stripes. Although perhaps we could go just a little easier on the collars this time around.
Good stuff Town.

Would be interested to know if other lower league clubs change kit supplier as often as we do Must admit to being curious about this too… over the last decade or so we’ve had Prostar (plus stadium naming rights), Joma, Errea and Admiral, none of these partnerships lasting any more than 2-3 seasons. Of course other League and non-league teams regularly change kit supplier too, and I’m certainly not having a go at the club. Just seems a lot different to Premier League teams, where the kit suppliers and clubs often stay together for many years. Is this a case of the club having difficulties with kit suppliers, the commercial arm of the club constantly searching for a better deal, or the kit manufacturers themselves hawking around clubs and competing for their business. Or a little of all three?

Or a little of all three? Change of shirt sponsor over the years can be every couple of years meaning another shirt is needed. Possibly the sponsor may want a different shirt that suits their logo? I agree though that the kit changes more often than before moving to the new ground. It probably a good income stream after tickets?

Maybe we will be able to take corners like we did back then too 😁 If we can have the same settled team, grind out many 1 goal wins I would be happy. A repeat of 78/9 would be very welcome.
