See Torquay and Notts are into extra time. 2-2, Torquay scored in 1st minute, County equalised just before HT. Then Torquay went ahead early In 2nd half, County replying a few mins later.
Other semi Stockport v Hartlepool 12.00 tomorrow.
Have followed Torquay all season so would really like to see them do it but as all the others are ex league teams would be quite happy whoever comes back up.

ET HT Torquay 4 County 2.
Looks like Torquay going for it, Asa Hall (remember him?) gets the 4th.

FT 4-2 Torquay into next weeks final at Ashton Gate.
Not too bothered who wins tomorrow, but I would think Stockport will be favourites the way they finished the season.
Do wonder why they have dragged the play offs on quite as long as they have. Clubs have been playing twice a week now over most of the season but there has been a whole week between each game in the play offs. To me this weekend should have been the final.

[br That would be a fantastic signing. Really.....his stats are nothing special for a National League player? I didn’t think he contributed a great deal today, but it would’ be unfair to judge any player on a 90 minute tv cameo.

Those teams will surely have that mentality now after this season’s failures. I would be amazed ifTown were going to be aiming as low as that as well. Top half is a bare minimum I assume.

That's a bad result for Wrexham. They wouldn't have wanted Stockport to be still in their Division.

Oates for Hartlepool has been the class act of the playoffs so far - I think they may give Torquay a shock at the weekend. Madden was surprisingly poor for Stockport today showing that flashing the chequebook does not always pay off.

This seems to be the most long winded play off system ever It does, especially in a season where clubs have often played 2 games most weeks. Happy to see either club back in the FL, but would most like to see Torquay make it back considering how low they dropped to. Come on you Gulls.

Assuming crowds are allowed back if we drew one of them in the League Cup, which is the more enjoyable trip? Hartlepool or Torquay? A no brainer really.

This seems to be the most long winded play off system ever I like it though. Do think you should have some advantage for finishing higher. Agreed. They should try similar in the EFL and expand the play offs in the league by 2 spaces and give the teams finishing 3/4 (5 in L2) a bye. Extra spaces would keep more teams seasons alive rather than the volume of mid table meaningless games that develop from March / April onwards.

Extra spaces would keep more teams seasons alive rather than the volume of mid table meaningless games that develop from March / April onwards. I like the format but not sure about the additional spots in the EFL. I think it works well in the Conference because it is just the one automatic spot. If we had it in the EFL and we had two or three automatic spots that would have sides way down the league with a chance of promotion. So see the good and bad of that. 👍 But do like sides finishing higher having some advantage.

I think the National League should expand it to 12 teams in the play - offs to give Wrexham a chance.
