After last weeknds game me and Carter popped in the Chester City club bar for a few snifters. Behind the bar was a Chester City pendant highlighting the years they had won the Welsh Cup, the last being 1947. Underneath this date was the following statement "Chester City - the only English team to win the Welsh Cup after the Second World War". Now even i know we won it 1979 if not other times after 1945. The pendant looked fairly new as well. Are Chester that desperate for a bit of glory that they have to talk out their arses The secruity to get into the bar was also comedy as well, some lard ass doorman stopped us and said "Are you from Chester" to which i replied "Yes" and in i went. Great security that! Chester City you are a joke

It is an old penant FWIW - it says Chester FC on it so is dated from before we changed name to Chester City in the early 1980s, so therefore probably predates your Welsh Cup win.

The only Chester fan to talk out of his arse was the tannoy announcer who gave you the accolade of 'conference runners up' last week. I bet you were more embarrassed than we were for that clap trap. Hereford United were worthy runners up last season. You lot never even ran them close.
And as for the security on the doors at the club bar after the match. Please correct me here, are we not off the same planet, speak the same language and at the end of the day were you only after an after match drink? We tried to be more civil to you lot after all the whinging from last season, made the match all ticket and lost thousands of pounds in revenue and you still have a pop at us. Maybe next season we should make it a free bar for all for disgruntled sloppies, but then you'd still moan the beer was flat.

This is Anfield, Howay the lads...etc All famous signs the players famously supersticiously tap for good luck as they enter the hallowed turf. They've missed one out. Picture from Telford Shrews album www.stfc.fotopic.net/p9855800.htmlIt reminds me of a cinema exit sign from the late Seventies. I'd p**s myself if I was a visiting team and ran out to see a stand 9 rows high...
