#Shrewsbury Town have rejected a bid for Nathanael Ogbeta. #Salop boss Steve Cotterill says he doesn’t expect the unnamed club to up its offer. Peterborough had been strongly linked with Ogbeta, but said recently they'd turned their interest elsewhere. #Shrerws @bbcshropsport

James Bond seems to break the embargoes a lot of a time.

James Bond seems to break the embargoes a lot of a time. If I was at the Town and he has disregarded the embargo I would take him off the weekly reporter list. It’s disrespecting the privileged position he has been given to prepare his story. Shameful!

It does seem a long time since we signed anyone. Nine whole days... I demand a statement from the club....

Not so sure about that - a prolific time at Cheltenham but anything but since then

With Wigan and MK Dons arming themselves with forwards that does narrow the likeliest candidates to sign a certain Northern Irish international who was left out of his current sides most recent friendly....

I doubt we’d be touching him with a barge poll as long as Brian is at the club. Same for Mr. Hurst.

I like the honest, straight talking appraoch from SC, reminds me of Peters. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but the quote of " We’re hoping we can keep him around, but as I’ve said, if he goes, then he goes. " would suggest to me that it wouldn't be a surprise if he moves on and explains why we were being linked with other left sided defensive players despite bringing in Leahy.

I also like the bit about SC knowing what’s going on because people tell him! Also that this happens because he’s been in the game a lot longer than the agent.
I suspect it’s also because people in the game respect him far more than they do the agent.

I agree , it’s when you read comments like that you realise what a top/well respected manager we have at STFC

Seems we may see a familiar face on August 7th Burton on the verge of signing Amadi-Holloway

How long before ‘farmhands’ notorious is on here spouting off about their marquee signing and will win the league by 100 points with the sheer might of his Hollywood bum boys behind them!!!
I can almost hear his spunk stained keyboard rattling away now!!!

Seemed like a nice lad, but I'm absolutely amazed he has got a contract at league one level. His game may not be all about goals, but his goal scoring record is one you'd expect from a full back. It wasn't great in England, but even in Australia and India where the standards are not special, his scoring rate wasn't any better.

Looking at today’s Star, it would seem that SC has been let down by a couple of players he talked to. I back him though when he says he won’t sign for the sake of it.

Mullin is the first marquee signing they've made really. Rest of the squad and signings seem about the right level. So would expect 3-4 more signings of players that should be really at league two level

Donald Love is on trial with Rochdale Would be a good move for him. More than good enough for L2 level, and close to home too.

Agree about his scoring rate but he had one of the best first touches I’ve seen at Shrewsbury for ages…there’s something there perhaps JFH will discover.
