Will Peterborough be back in League 1 in 12 months? Probably:
Stoke City have emerged as potential suitors of Peterborough’s 33-goal striker Jonson Clarke-Harris. Whispers are growing that Stoke are among the clubs who are ready to target the 26-year-old, who has just been named League One player of the year after helping win promotion.

Ex Bristol City player under SC Kieran Agard, has been released by MK Dons having had an injury plagued season and apparently was a higher salaried player on their books. Ex Bolton player Zach Clough has barely featured at Wigan and available, SC tried to sign him when at Bristol City perhaps his career could be resurrected under SC. Though he may prefer a return to Bolton, scene of his more prolific goal scoring days.
Likely though Keith Burt will be searching younger prospects for the future. He has done well unearthing Pennington and Ogbeta in Jan so look forward to the summer to see what other great prospects he can discover.

James Goodwin (ex agent on twitter) says we are interested in Jimmy Keohane from Rochdale "Jimmy is best described as utility player, who is comfortable playing in a number of positions"...

Conor McAleny is out of contract at Oldham...I thought he did ok for us when he was previously on loan.
He certainly knows where the net is!

MK Not-Dons have released Lee Nicholls - plenty of experience at this level and we certainly need another keeper.

Why has nobody listed Assombalonga on the achievable targets thread? Absolute s**t show from all involved.

We couldn’t afford a tenth of Assombalonga’s wages.

We couldn’t afford a tenth of Assombalonga’s wages. I mean I doubt he's on £40,000 a week, but yes your overall point is he's be heading upwards/across rather than down the leagues I'd imagine.

True, but remember that Cotterill signed a 35 year old Aaron Wilbraham to score the goals that took Bristol City to the Championship. I wonder whatever happened to him.😜

Looking forward to some exciting summer signings and a better season next year. Most of the players signed will probably not have been mentioned on this thread but I would like us to be looking at young players (like Ogbeta) who cannot get into the squads at Premier League teams. These lads often have a bit of quality and something to prove. Of the players already mentioned here I think Luke Daniels and Connor McAleny would be realistic and worthwhile additions.

www.shropshirestar.com/sport/football/shrewsbury-town-fc/2021/05/08/shrewsbury-town-stars-to-discuss-futures-with-boss-steve-cotterill/"Shrewsbury Town players are set for talks with manager Steve Cotterill regarding future plans following tomorrow’s League One finale at Crewe Town see out the campaign with the short trip to The Alexandra Stadium tomorrow lunchtime, where the returning boss will again watch from the stands, rather than the dugout. The fixture is likely to be the last game in Town colours for a number of the existing squad, with as many as 14 senior players out of contract. Cotterill has not yet spoken directly with his troops about whether or not they are a part of his plans for next season, which will be his first full season in charge at Montgomery Waters Meadow. It is thought there will be big change within the squad as Town eye improvement on a relegation battle. Talks are planned for Wednesday, before the squad and staff disperse for their summer break. Players will typically be on holiday throughout much of June. Cotterill and his Town head of recruitment Keith Burt have been setting plans for next season’s squad, with Shrewsbury having realistically secured their League One status a number of weeks ago.Question marks remain over several high-profile players, including Shaun Whalley, Ro-Shaun Williams, Sean Goss, Daniel Udoh and Dave Edwards – the latter revealed he would be open to a longer stay having considered retirement."
