I am pleased. I reckon leverkusen was our best shot of getting through. United have the toughest of the English teams. Corking stuff.

Liverpool have really fluked that! Leverkusen, Monaco and Liverpool must be among the weakest sides left.
Chelsea Barca will be a cracker, the two favourites
Man U might as well pull out now

Chelsea Barca will be a cracker, the two favourites I think Juve are favourites. They might not have ripped people apart in the group but 6 wins is 6 wins

Especially winning 5 of them 1-0

It was 5 wins, not 6 wasn't it. Nearly right. 5 straight 1-0's is classic Italian football. There is an Italian word for it. The words coming into my head are Quattro Staggioni, Lambretta and Sambuca and I am pretty certain it is none of those. It may be catenaccio, but that may be a cheese.

Liverpool maybe one of the weakest sides in it, but its nothing a couple of useful strikers would'nt solve.
Had to laugh at chelsea's draw, I think Barce will shut Jose up. I can see the other english sides go through though.

Ah Sambuca...reminds me of a certain beach bar nr Venice...
Mix it with Chimay and youve got one hell of a party and an even bigger hangover!

Ah Sambuca...reminds me of a certain beach bar nr Venice... Mix it with Chimay and youve got one hell of a party and an even bigger hangover! Unless you drink again the following day once the onset of a hangover appears. That way you cleverly avoid it. Was listening to Pills, Thrills the other day and Step On certainly reminded me of that trip. Problem is, having gone both years, I can't remember what happened on which trip. To be honest most of it is a bit foggy.

Dont barcelona have a bit of an injury crisis at the moment? I know larsson is out, i thought they might be missing a few midfielders too, maybe catalan shrew can enlighten us. That might make a difference. As will the transfer window.
Personally i think AC Milan have got to be the favourites, quality in defence, midfield and up front. Plus like Juventus they know how to defend. Really can't see man u getting through - such a shame

ok leverkusen might have topped the group but are they going to be challenging for the trophy at the end? there are far more dangerous sides that liverpool could have drawn, i've spoken to 3 liverpool fans today and they're all relieved to get leverkusen.
fagin, do you reckon united are going to go through then?

i'm going to say no, clough was better. to win the european cup twice and in successive seasons is a superb achievement, especially with a side the size of forest (i.e. not flush with money). And i do believe that cloughs sides were far more disciplined than fergusons, which is something clough is always respected for

although not a great fan of Man U ,if they beat A.C.Milan ..they may go all the way,its games like these that Ferguson loves to test his sides. As for the rest?not really an easy tie amongst them. Are Liverpool any better this season than last?.i think they will crash out again.

Its one hell of a draw and I guess the organisers are pleased having reverted back to a straight knockout at this stage. I hope all the British teams do well because its about time we won it again.
