Those Villa lads really did put a shift in tonight. Fair play to them.

Will it be extended to the EFL though? Should be.

Will it be extended to the EFL though? Should be. The normal run of things is the "big six", Premier League clubs, the EPL and then the EFL. That tends to be the pecking order, where one goes the other tends to follow. So I guess we can expect the same announcement soon. Do find it strange we haven't heard anything from the club about that photo as yet though...

Considering the club, as far as I can recall, do keep and eye out for what's posted here on B&A and some are clearly a tad miffed at this, I thought they would have put something out. Considering the state we are in at the moment its hardly surprising this has generated the reaction it has. I just thought that by now they would have made some announcement on it.

I am sure Roland still has his Monday morning read, and this will be printed off for him, the big difference is it being highlighted on here, which I am sure the FA won’t monitor, then making a public statement on the club site about it, which I am sure the FA would see very quickly. Let’s be honest, numbers on here are dwindling not increasing for some reason....

For now, the club appear to have decided to take the do nothing option, or so it seems from the outside looking in.
As has been said, they may feel that drawing attention to the said twitter post may open up an even bigger can of worms at this time. Best therefore leave well alone.

Think club should concentrate on the positives. Things going well on the pitch, Roland MBE and SC Manager of the month. Those are the issues we want people from outside our club knowing and talking about. Any negatives deal with behind closed doors.

Who would be taking action on this? Given the silence I'm more worried that non players are affected - did the article on the positive tests just state it was players? Does seem a bit odd that there has been such silence in recent days on this and other news, e.g. manager of the month

I think if we value the club more than an individual player we should cut the comment on the picture and let the club deal with this matter. As said above, Roland's well deserved MBE, SC manager of the century, doing well on the pitch and a big FA Cup tie to reschedule.
As for the original poster of the picture on here, well far enough, the player had already made it public, but I do hope that the original poster also sent the evidence to Brian's email so that the club could start work on investigating what has been going on and work on a strategy for dealing with it.

I don’t agree with that, as it’s hypocritical especially as senior players like Dave Edwards, liked it. Most of us have been doing our utmost to comply with the rules and many are shielding . Football is being given special dispensation to carry on, when in reality it’s not important at all. If the picture and post were on Xmas eve, I feel very disappointed and it reinforces the view that players are just journeymen who have zero affinity to the fans of the club they play for.

Ok, you carry on dragging the club into murky waters when it's the player who may have broken the rules. I see this as a similar situation to when a player was aledged to have assualted someone at a railway station and how that was dealt with by the club. Our righteous indignation on here isn't going to help.

Well, is your gripe with the player, or with the club? Perhaps people who are mad as hell about this, and I totally understand that, should quiz his actions by sending him a mssage on twitter or other social media asking him what the hell he was doing?

We shouldn't have any problems with the players being tired at least.
