i remember ricketts mentioning pompey at the meeting, he said, they can pay 3 or 4 times what we pay, so if they even offer daniels double he will be off and if its closer to home its a no brainer for him, not to worry we have mr covid, give him squad number 19 and all is great

I’d quite like us to sign Matt Millar up today. Just to cheer myself up 🤣 Hmm interesting you say that Looks like they have been saved 3 days ago from going bust. the chairman has gone "The breach was for failing to meet set deadlines to pay debts." Be interesting now what they value Millar now, i just wonder if the fee and the pressure they put on us was to save his bacon. Be interesting to know what the rules are between Australia and the efl/FA, haven't we had players just skip off to foreign climes and break their contracts?

Pompey in for Daniels. Can’t say it’s a massive surprise, and if true couldn’t blame him for taking up the opportunity. Pompey have taken a few of our players in recent years, would be a good move for Daniels if they were interested, can’t see him turning them down, I presume his home is still on the south coast too.

But i bet you they will give self isolation as an excuse, if he has Covid it would be very irresponsible. The rules to going back to Australia is a 10 day self isolation in a hotel, unless the rules have changed since before Christmas.

He's come out and said the ball is our court. Painful. I know he's not the long term answer but his quality is obvious. I trust SC but fail to see what the upside of waiting is.

I see the New Saints have completed the statement signing of AFC Wimbledon hotshot Adam Roscrow on a club-record transfer fee. Maybe Wrexham ought to move to Welsh football and see if they could secure European football? Doubt they could though.

Mentioned this as a possibility a few weeks back - I wonder if it’s likely now

The James Bolton rumour may have some foundation - quote from Kenny Jackett: "We would want to bring in a player (if Bolton left). Whether that was another right-back or not we’ll see what the case might be. Looking at it now it would be a left-back, but we don’t want to be weaker going into the second half of the season with fewer numbers. We’re not going to let people go unless we have replacements" If they are taking Charlie Daniels then it would be appreciated if they could give us Bolton back. Bolton has not played at all this season, but he seemed the type to keep fit. www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/kenny-jacketts-message-likes-paul-downing-and-james-bolton-over-portsmouth-exit-3090880

We’ve had an amazing run but seems like we’re not doing too much to keep the players who have done more than their fair share to be part of that run, eg Daniels and Millar. I do trust SC but this is making me a bit uncomfortable.

We really need to stop taking these dodgy Aussie footy accounts at face value. Would be like believing @eflfootyrumours or something.

We really need to stop taking these dodgy Aussie footy accounts at face value. Would be like believing @eflfootyrumours or something. Australia currently has a weekly cap on the number of international arrivals, with people having to undergo quarantine in a designated facility. There are roughly 37,000 Australians waiting to return, airlines have suspended routes making it harder to travel back. On Friday, Emirates airline announced it would be stopping its flights to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. sorry taken from www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-55683035

Doesn't look that way maybe another 3 month loan coming up? maybe that's why its complicated and they want money for a player that can't play for them, Driving seat Shrewsbury Town or a club in the UK. He needs to play football before he goes back surely?

So, it's summer in Australia, I suppose that means it's not their football season? Effectively then Shrewsbury are offsetting Millar's wages during their close season? Wish we could do that with our players during our close season....
