I’m certainly a fan of the singing and atmosphere but as said it needs to be linked to watching the game and not just getting drunk for the sake of it. If beer is all you go for then save your entrance money.
I would say vast majority the crowd do help to lift the players and most of the singing is to get the team going.
However have also seen plenty of individuals who take it too far and can spoil for the majority.

Worcs 86/8 20 overs. Two 4s. Notts 89/0 6.2 overs. Thirteen 4s and Three 6s. Embarrassing. He is also mysteriously allowed to register for TWO club sides?, Langley Moor & Haslingden

Absolutely scintillating bowling display by Shagger. Evidence, if any were needed, to demonstrate why he occupies number one spot in my world bowling ranking algorithm.

Another stroll in the park for England. Sadly Sri Lanka are just not competitive enough at this moment in time.

Disappointing that there was no result but it was very much heading England's way, yet again.
Pakistan up next, that should prove to be a much more sterner test for England.

www.espncricinfo.com/story/eng-vs-pak-2021-england-odi-squad-forced-to-self-isolate-after-positive-covid-19-tests-1268731England's white-ball squads have been forced to self-isolate two days before the start of their ODI series against Pakistan following seven positive Covid-19 tests among the team's players and management. Three players and four members of management have tested positive for Covid. "In collaboration with Public Health England, Public Health Wales and Bristol Local Health Authority, those impacted will now observe a period of self-isolation from July 4 following the UK Government's protocol on quarantine," an ECB statement said. "The remaining members of the party have been deemed close contacts and will also isolate." The ECB confirmed that the limited-overs series against Pakistan will go ahead as planned, with Ben Stokes due to return to international duty ahead of schedule and captain the squad, which will be named at 11am. ESPNcricinfo understands that a number of players have been pulled out of the ongoing round of County Championship fixtures to join up with the new squad and will undertake PCR tests in order to ensure the safety of the new squad.

With Buttler and Foakes injured, and Bairstow, Billings and Banton all in the original squad and self isolating, is this an opportunity for Ben Cox?
And what about Hales and Clarke of Notts?

Ben Stokes (Durham, captain) Jake Ball (Nottinghamshire) Danny Briggs (Warwickshire) Brydon Carse (Durham) Zak Crawley (Kent) Ben Duckett (Nottinghamshire) Lewis Gregory (Somerset) Tom Helm (Middlesex Will Jacks (Surrey) Dan Lawrence (Essex) Saqib Mahmood (Lancashire) Dawid Malan (Yorkshire) Craig Overton (Somerset) Matt Parkinson (Lancashire) David Payne (Gloucestershire) Phil Salt (Sussex) John Simpson (Middlesex) James Vince (Hampshire)
So no Hales, no Clarke, no Cox.

Would love to see Alex Hales & Ben Cox in the 'new' squad. I think Joe Clarke is due in court soon so he will probably be ruled out.

That is a real kick in the teeth for Hales. Feel a bit sorry for Cox as he is prob in top five ODI keepers. The decision to leave Clarke out was fairly predictable.

They are probably worried that Hales will have a brilliant series against Pakistan in both formats and then they would have no choice but to keep him in 😉

Very disappointed for Cox, who has a better List A and T20 record than Simpson, as well as being a better keeper.
But Simpson plays for Middlesex. Enough said.

The story going around is that he went to the defence of one of his brothers. Who wouldn't in a given situation ?? Innocent until proven guilty, and so easy to be provoked if one is a well known celebrity/sportsman/public figure.
