So, another roll of the dice, yet another formation and change of personel and yet another utter shambles. It's no exaggeration to say MK were as poor for the first half as I've ever seen a league opponent of Towns. At the back they were an utter shambles and with hindsight Town should have got two. Robbed blind by an appalling decision for Pugh's disallowed goal but even then a brilliantly worked 2nd and Town should have been home and hosed.
But, we all know what happens next. Awful from Iliev for both but just ponderous and static defending all round. You can't ship two goals against any one and expect to win.
Whalley man of the match by a country mile.
But, the real story of the night is Sam's further tinkering. The last roll of the dice of a desperate man. He clearly doesn't know his best formation or his best personel. Work in progress / such desperation is simply not good enough after more than two years. The guy's simply way out of his depth.
Over to you Roland and Brian, we all know what's coming please just sort it quickly.

Twice in a week we've blown a 2 goal lead.
Same problems as always, failing to see a game out.

wheras our "fans"? will make out its a defeat Nah, they just say its one win in 13 league games now. And that's all that needs saying. Dread to think what it is from January ... 😞

most of would have taken an away point tonite? Probably yes but when you are 2-0 up and in control? That's now 1 league win in 13 games and 23rd in the table.

Depends how you look at it. Only lost 1 in 6, although some of those draws feel like losses.

Completely devoid of any mental toughness this team, how do you reinstall confidence? Can’t keep trying this failed experiment, would a new man be able to? No idea but can’t be any worse than this.

Called it hours before the match that we'd throw away 3 points. Just utterly deflating watching us play at the minute.
Can't see us beating Oxford City on Sunday..

As with most things, its all about the context. Before the game a 2 all draw would have been ok. However we have blown a 2 goal lead and from what I've read, we were playing a garbage side who were there for the taking (then you add on the lack of wins this season and in 2020).

MK were awful we should of punished them.
Funny old game as i don't think we should of conceded those goals, GK error and no challenge from Walker.
So unlucky but maybe its a confidence problem

1 win in 13 this season
23rd in the table
3 wins in 27 in the league - 4 points from safety.
Not good enough on every level.
Didn’t hear people bigging it up when we got a stroke of luck v Burton. Whether it was or wasn’t a corner for us then - irrelevant Just as our two offside goals tonight were given as offside, whether they were or not - irrelevant
Time to go Samuel

The problem is that it’s not the first time we have given away a two goal lead. But, come on, we all knew it would happen it was a question of when not if.
I’m not going to listen to the interview because I’ve lost heart but I predict that the two goals disallowed in the first half weren’t offside.

And that's three games on the bounce now where we haven't looked comfortable seeing a game out. We just seem to invite it on.

If we not only can't beat that shower when 2 up, but are clinging on for dear life at the end I've no idea when we're next going to win a game. The defending is just an all-round shambles and the indication of a team that's just completely lost it - whether it's Ricketts' fault or the individuals involved is somewhat irrelevant at this stage, it's happening every single week and giving us no chance of winning.
We've given it a good try, but he's done.

Watching the goals can’t but think that the defence aren’t that bothered. All defenders should put their arses on the line to get tackles and blocks in, but from what I’ve seen they don’t want to get their shorts dirty.

Well we'll have to see how it all plays out but you do wonder whether the home side are going to be as generous come the second half. But at the minute we're keeping them at arms length quite well and we look as though we have more goals in us.
Come on Town!!
Same position as Saturday BUT this time we are going on to win this one. COYB Did you really have to go and post that!

And formation pretty much the same as well, still a form of 3-4-3 that we’ve played for last few games. We created enough chances to win comfortably, but failed to do it again Still making poor mistakes to give away poor goals. Can they not concentrate or do they just get too nervous ? No idea what the answer is
