Bristol Rovers have been busy. Signed Josh Grant from Chelsea, Max Ehmer from Gillingham and Jack Baldwin from Sunderland That's the Bristol Rovers who were teetering on the edge of oblivion with debts of £24M quite recently. Thanks to some dodgy accounting and a fairy godfather from Jordan, everything is now hunky dory apparently, unless you happen to one of the 'ordinary trade creditors' who are yet to see a penny, that is. Bolton seem to be throwing cash around as if there was no tomorrow as well. Football finances are a joke.

Bristol Rovers president Wael Al-Qadi has taken full control of the club, leaving it "substantively debt free". The Jordanian has bought a controlling stake in the League One side's holding company - Dwane Sports - capitalising £34.9m worth of loans. It might be worth mentioning that capitalising loans is exactly what Steve Dale did at Bury when buying the Club from Day for £1 Al-Qadi has agreed to capitalise loans £18.4million in loans owed to Dwane Sports by Bristol Rovers (1883) Ltd and £16.5million owed by Bristol Rovers Football Club Ltd to BRFC 1883 Ltd – the two firms which the club is registered as on Companies House. www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/breaking-wael-al-qadi-takes-4246152Looks like a shuffling of the deckchairs on the Titanic here. I wonder how much he's actually forked out to buy the Club rather than just capitalising the debt.

I've just looked at information on the Companies House website about Dwayne Developments UK Ltd, Bristol Rovers (1883) Ltd, and Bristol Rovers Football Club Ltd.
There are definitely similarities to the Bury and Macclesfield set ups.

Too true, and to think there are a few on here who STILL moan about him. Sooner or later he wont be around as Head Honcho, just hope his last parting shot is to make sure that the club is moved onto other genuine supporters of the Town. Maybe Cauldwell and maybe one or two other long standing stalwarts.

Vinecelot has signed for Stevenage Good luck to him. Nice chap and unlucky at town with his injury which I think resulted in him being the first footballer to have the same hip operation as tennis player Murray. Still touch and go I think whether or not Stevenage will still be a League club next season.

Transfer market beginning to warm up. Ex Town loanee Jonathan Mitchell has joined Northampton on loan. Bit of competition for our old favourite Steve Arnold.

Few good signings around the league in last few days
Fleetwood signed up Jordan Rossiter and Callum Camps. #
Pompey sign up Sean Raggett, who spent last season there on loan.
Town old boy Mikael Mandron signs for Crewe.
Aidan O'Brien and Bailey Wright have joined Sunderland
Accrington have signed Cameron Burgess. Feel like we have been linked to him at some point in the past.
And Matty Taylor re-joins Oxford.

Anthony Grant has extended his contract at Swindon. Obviously being a good boy and not needing any dental treatment this summer. 🤣

Jordan Clark has signed for Luton, I think Accrington will do well to avoid relegation next season.

Anthony Grant has extended his contract at Swindon. I thought he was off to Blackpool? Have seen this mentioned a few times - he was indeed off to Blackpool, but only on a short mini-break due to the uncertainty surrounding foreign travel and holidaymakers being encouraged to do a "staycation." He was always re-signing at Swindon.

Two good signings for Hull I think, although oddly in exactly the same position - Lewie Coyle from Fleetwood and ex town loanee Josh Emmanuel from Bolton

I can't think who he'd be worth having instead of. Norburn and Edwards do that job now. Maybe as another DCM playmaker?
