i think this may of been asked before, but should they be stopped? i reckon no because some amusing names and posts come from them (my personnal favourite was 'john berry-witness protection man') if the mods don't like what they're saying (the guests) and theres enough complaints then surely their ip can be barred?

I think they should be allowed, but we should have a 'rule book' prominently displayed that states quite clearly that guests can't expect to be listened to or taken seriously if they're not willing to register or log in. One thing though is that people post under their name, but add in NLI or whatever. Anyone could do that just to make another user sound stupid. I'm expecting a ton of Slimm Shandy (or whatever) posts now!
