Apologies if posted elsewhere but couldn’t see a mention.
Just seen on social media a few sources saying Joe could be heading back to the meadow, surely no truth in this?

So he's prepared to be a bench warmer on PL wages rather than try to resurrect his career elsewhere. Fair enough. I'd probably do the same.

Top clubs seem to like having a 3rd or 4th keeper who is English (possibly needed to top up the English grown squad quota). Think Scott Carson or Richard Wright at city, and Lee Camp at Man Utd. Possibly also a way into starting his coaching badges, as this does further feel like a gradual move into retirement rather than moving to champ/league 1 club to potentially play

Burnley let him go, Spurs must think he still has value in the top flight with a free transfer having an experienced keeper on the bench in case of injury's is prudent the only costs they will have is his agents fees and wages, he is still only33 which is young for a keeper.

Depending how fair Spurs get in the various Cup matches he should get a few games as Vorm has left.
Lloris has also been injury prone in the last few seasons so may not be warming the bench as much as some think?

Wonder if Spurs will also use the ex England keeper to bring on their younger keepers too to get their moneys worth?

The dream return of Hart for supporters would be in the future as part of a consortium consisting of Caldwell, Delves, Edwards and Hart as owners of the club. I would consider joining them if I win the lottery.

The move to Spurs looks a good one for Joe - if he can recapture his form of a few years ago and get a chance in the first team he might well prosper there. I read somewhere that Spurs need to boost the number of English players in their squad to comply with the rules so that might well be a factor in the signing.

With Kane likely to go after any offer of £100m for him any additional English player is probably a welcome addition.

And of course that would guarantee success for STFC Nobody can guarantee success but all you can ask for is having owners who have a passion for the club and not as is the case with many football clubs these days faceless business people with no connection or feelings for the club. The Netflix film Sunderland til I die was a prime example of people in charge with little football experience or passion for the club.

And it also allegedly happened prior to the peak of his career, so it seems like needlessly adding salacious gossip to the thread.

Yeah, for the Europa League squad they basically only have one more spot for non-homegrown. For the Premier League they have a little more wriggle room (one extra spot for non-HG, because Ben Davies is counted as HG in domestic but non-HG for European).

Whilst true, Kane almost counts double as he would be a homegrown spurs player, not just English, which is important when playing in Europe. With Rose also on the list of those to leave it doesn't leave many.

I hope he can resurrect his career he is still young(33) for a keeper. it would be sad to see him just warming the bench for a season.
