at the New Gay. Who would you like it to be and why?
I'd go for Everton, so we could beat 'em again! ;D I'm sure Moyes would do us a favour!

The STFC All Stars. Gall; Simpkin; Jenkins; Redmile; Winstanley; Peer; Keister; Jobling; Craven; Freestone; White. Why? To show how far we have fallen in the past few years

we cant play a big team as this will generate big crowds and we wont get a saftey certificate any new stadium has to have trial matches and then progress to larger ones before a saftey certificate is issued the way around this is i "THINK" sunderland ? southampton..? had their youth team or reserves playing there with fans in to get over the problem... then sometime later had a foriegn side at the official opening match

if Ann summers comes and offers us a million - it can be the Ann Summers Stadium for all I care !
My ideal would be
Shrewsbury Town FC New Meadow Stadium Rowley Park Shrewsbury
ie forget Ottley Road and name the site Rowley Park and the stadium the new meadow - thus pleasing everyone....
thoughts please...

Burton are hosting Inter Milan for their new stadium's first game, maybe we could attract them over Shrewsbury too? Maybe too early for the NM's first game, but as a last big visitor to GM?

I want it to be sponsored, and like Matt, to have the site named Rowley Park. Or even New Meadow park or Wycherley Park.
faginy is right for once - Man Utd apparantly don't guarantee matches in transfer deals but there is a very big chance that this will be the big game.

Well, I have contacts with FC Barcelona and I have the 1% chance of asking if they would like to come. Athletic Bilbao played Chester a few years back so why not us? Barcelona tour in England regularly as well for pre-season.
I'll see what I can do!!!
