Unfortunately, or fortunately, I am hibernating from this board until the football starts again, whenever that will be. There are some great posters on here and some who are doing sterling work for the local communities and core services. Then there are the others who are amusing, but the last few weeks there are the ones who just want to use it as a political soapbox. We all have our opinions and they should be respected but these are unprecedented times and it is not the time for spending your time copying and pasting articles from the media, that are opinions in the first place and little fact, to quantify your opinion as you can't do it on your own. These are the posters who seem to hijack every thread possible with this sort of political agenda. Why don't you stop moaning about things and get off your backsides and go and volunteer, people are working hard out there without you telling what they should be doing right and trying to apportion the blame on political decisions. One poster even slated the keyboard warriors of the police, and what are you then? Another who can't help copying and pasting politics on a thread praising the core workers who post on here, and these are just a couple of examples. Some should really take a rain check on what they say, as it is now becoming very tiresome reading the usual bile about we should have done this, we should have done that, read this they told us so, it won't be long before someone quotes that Nostredamus said it was going to happen, and the government didn't listen. If you feel that strongly about politics why don't you put your self forward and stand up, instead of hijacking other peoples opinions and taking the cowards way out and apportioning blame for whatever reason you can. I am not a policeman, or a doctor, or a politician, or a nurse, so I am in no position to tell them how to do their job. I have always had the philosophy that any one who thinks they can do a job better than others, what is stopping you, apart from the fact is you can't do it or you don't want to, so don't criticise it please. Apologies but I have a particular dislike for individuals who sit there and spend their energy blaming people and not doing anything about it, as I said before, go and volunteer and make a difference, it will give you something useful to do. Hopefully many of will still be here to post when the football is back on and there is some normality back to our lives, cheerio.

If we were all the same it really would be a boring forum. It is essentially a football forum but there are more important things going on in the world at the moment. I personally find the different opinions sometimes informative, sometimes amusing, sometimes annoying but always very readable at a time when its difficult to fill the time complying with the new restrictions.

I am not a doctor, Policeman, Nurse, Carer, Politician or Volunteer but I am doing my bit towards the present crisis by complying with the restrictions and sometimes posting rubbish on this forum. If everyone did the same whatever their views we could get back to normal life a lot quicker.

Have to admit that i just skip over the longer boring looking posts with links attatched. Too involved to take in.
People should be allowed to post whatever they like (within rules of the site), readers do have the option to not read them.

Agree to some extent. Would be good if we could individually block posters who we know we don’t see eye to eye with. If I ever have a disagreement with someone I always try & iron it out by being polite & explain my viewpoint in more detail rather than kicking off. 99% it’s sorted out & we/i move on.

Strange post from the OP, who seemed to be actively engaged in politcal discussion on a few threads.

We're all going to feel grumpy in the present situation. For anybody accused of feeling Grumpy, Alex Salmond can give you the number of a brilliant, but blabbermouth, barrister.

I get lots of feedback from the masses that typos and mis-spellings can cause significant upset. Therefore, any message calling for a communal ‘coming together’ should be cognisant of this.
