I'm not sure what it is with football club chairman. They run perfectly profitable companies, but when they get their hands on a football club, some of them spend money like there's no tomorrow.
But then of course, if a board of directors live within their means, they call it being prudent, but the supporters see it as a lack of ambition.

A good case study for the growing clamour for any Premier League aid to be means tested somehow. We’re fortunate enough to have a relatively large balance sheet surplus and so can ride out any short-term shocks. It’s clubs like Bristol Rovers with large debts that some commentators says really need any aid (should it be forthcoming).

Can see a good few more clubs joining the list that already includes Oldham, Macclesfield and Southend very soon.
Just let any Town supporter post on here that RW isnt ambitious enough to throw money at being succesful right now....

Any money available should be distributed evenly to all, otherwise you are rewarding incompetence and profligacy.
