Julie has sadly passed away after a short illness. I had the great pleasure of seeing her perform live at The Poppy House, Bishops Castle. I was late getting away from work, and the only seats left were right at the front, so I was about 3 feet away from her. The Poppy House only holds 40, so she obviously wasn't there for the money. She was introduced, and made her entrance from the kitchen! The night before she had performed to a sell-out crowd at a London theatre. A very talented lady. juliefelix.co.uk/

www.theguardian.com/music/2020/mar/24/julie-felix-obituary"In 1966, at the height of the folk music boom in Britain, David Frost’s satirical television show The Frost Report featured a young American folk singer whose thoughtful songs, strong voice, charm and good looks endeared her to audiences, turning her into a household name. Within a year, Julie Felix, who has died aged 81, was hosting her own television series, with an impressive list of special guests." not somone i had heard of but clearly a very talented musician R.I.P

Oh that’s very sad. Another one of my memories gone.
I remember the Poppy House well. I’ve got a feeling I may have seen Chas and Dave there.

I’m pretty sure (so probably wrong) that Julie Felix was a regular visitor to Pistyll Rhayader falls at Llanrhayader as a ‘retreat’ with show biz friends also played a couple of small Giggs there .....

That is sad news I can remember her on TV and the radio when I was little.
