Brings a tear to the eye.
I dont just miss the terraces I miss the Floodlight Pylons.
Drizzly November nights with the rain droplets highlighted in the beams like a fog from a Dickens novel, priceless.
Also going to strange Towns in the old A40 with the Old Man looking out along the skylines and rooftops for the tell tale four metal legs that pinpointed the ground like something from War of the Worlds.
Now just punch it into the sat nav and get completely and utterly lost.
Getting old does have its moments at times..........

Yea seriously Pilch if I hadnt made the Final Table from those bunch of muppets last night I'd have killed myself.
One guy waiting for AA or KK before he ever played a hand and nearly blinded.
Another on Tilt like a raw beginner because the Greek geezer kept pushing and couldnt count his chips out as quickly as the bloke wanted,and......
One of the worst calls I have ever seen by the chip leader as you say to virtually cripple himself, disgusting.
Not to mention the Greek, shove or fold, scared the cr@p out of them though, was funny as you said.
I didnt think the Swede was much cop either, all image and no substance was shaking like a bloke with Parkinsons.
Worst table I've ever seen on there personally.....22 FFS,God what did he think the other bloke had....... Jeeeez..............

Guess its like riding a bike, tricky at first but nothing easier once youve got the hang of it.
Your BEST hand is the BEST 5 cards made up from any 5 of the seven(2 in your hand and 5 on the Board) should the hand play out to the end.
Best combination of any 5 cards wins,if best hands are the same chop the pot.
Its easy when you get the hang of it.........
I just raised 3 Big Blinds Under the Gun,called by Mid Position and folded to The Cutoff who re raised to 6 Big Blinds.
I called ,Middle position folded.
Flop A A J with flush draw.
I pushed all-in, called by Donk in the Cutoff and saw my quad Aces beaten by Runner Runner Straight Flush.......
See nothing to it.....................

As Pilch says you make your hand with the best 5 cards.
Thr Community cards belong to all players,so if you and another player use all of those 5 to form your best hands then yes it is a split or chopped pot.

Cant agree Minor about "if you offer no shot shot you are asking for it" yes risky I concede but a perfectly legitimate choice of shot IMO when the ball is obviously going 18 feet over the top of the stumps............ Scandalous decision by a very poor Umpire. Fortunately(though I use that word with regret) I doubt it will have much effect on the outcome of the game Looking forward to the One Dayers mind you, wonder if Gilchrist will play, guess he has a chance. Must say in all fairness I thought the lads bowled pretty well in that heat, ridiculous as that sounds with the ball going all over the place, but that final session was one of the greatest you'll ever see in terms of total domination by one player, a truly outstanding and historic session of Test cricket........ Oh and if Chris Read doesn't play in the last two games it will be an even greater scandal than Monty not playing in the first two.............

Yea certainly seems like a man on a mission.
Interesting no info on how hes doing it as yet,no signs of violence or asphyxiation...strange.
Remember being fascinated by the Yorkshire Ripper cases as I lived in Bradford at the time and one of his victims was found 40 yards from my back door.
Hope they get him soon.

Option B).........
New Ball = 1 and a 1/2 sessions Max.........
Well done on Day 4 though to Collingwood and Pieterson, good effort, and restored some pride, but with a new ball tomorrow and cracks on that wicket that Loyalshrew could easily disappear into forever, it aint going to last too long I'm afraid.

Not often I agree with Minor, him being a Tory and stuff, but I have to say its the first decision I've seen in a hell of a long time where I reckon Hawkeye got it wrong.
I'm a Batsmans Umpire but Pieterson was plumb LBW for me,said it instantly when I saw it live and I still say it having seen it now about 6 times.
Looked like a good un cutting back, hit him in line and would have taken off and middle for me.
All opinions.........good game to draw.........
Highlight of the day seeing that Clown Bowden floored by Jones,priceless............
No sympathy from me I'm afraid anyway, picked the wrong Team and wrong batting order, typical English selectors conservative nonsense.............

Hmmmmmm
When does the next Test start, important to get back on level terms as soon as possible.
No bit harsh really.
Hell of a bad Toss to lose and I watched the first Session and our bowlers just looked really short of bowling(which they are of course)
Fred was the pick of them but he never really looked threatening on that track, who the hell would.
Pieterson spins it on the first day though and Warnies favourite ground in Australia to bowl on,puts us in abit of bother I reckon, but funny old game.
