Already had texts and messages from friends asking if I get 2 tickets, etc.... Got to beat Bristol first I have replied. Should have said "no problem, just to confirm game is on 14th January "

Brian and Roland need to learn from the mistakes in the wolves ticketing last year. I’m just hoping we don’t get a 1-10 loyalty point bucket as it makes no sense to put fans who’ve gone to 5-6 games this season with those who’ve only done one. Fairness would dictate: 1) Two tickets per season ticket and 10+ loyalty points 2) 10-5 loyalty points 3) 1-4 loyalty points 4) General Sale Cap it at 2 tickets per supporter number. Agree with those brackets. It has to be capped at 2 tickets per supporter, it has worked well in the past when that has happened. Put it up to four when they go on to general sale.

It should be one ticket per supporter number. If your wife/father/son/best mate hasn’t got the loyalty points, then sorry but tough.
They could perhaps be flexible and say if a season ticket holder wants to secure tickets next to them for people with 10+/15+ loyalty points then they can buy them at the same time, but I’m sure that’s a logistical nightmare 😂

Brings back unhappy memories of the last time we played them in the FA Cup.

IF we beat Bristol, I’d only sell tickets to anyone who’s been in round 1/2/3 so far. The usual 5,000 in the Meadow would make a far better atmosphere than full with people who don’t know who Sam Ricketts is (Cue a thousand and one reasons why people couldn’t make our 4 FA Cup games so far) I like the idea that there's exactly 5,000 people who go to every single game, with no variation in who attends whatsoever. It's moderately irritating when you end up next to a day tripper, but we've probably got a floating base of 7-8000 that have been to at least a couple of games this season, and that's how many tickets we've got to sell. Stop being so pious. Actually, as one of the 300 people who was at Bradford away only those people should be able to get a ticket. That would show all those part-timers!

This weekend, for so long the highlight of the season for many, has been disrespected to a level where many simply dont care any more. The magic of the cup as I remember it as child in the 1980's is certainly long gone, and as we saw with Liverpool's team against Everton yesterday, any one expecting to see anyone we've vaguely heard of appear off the bench for more than 20 mins will be sorely disappointed.
As we ALWAYS see with games like this, 10000 is ALWAYS enough for the regular AND casual fans to get a ticket so stop stressing. Even when we played Man U in 2016 there were ones left for general sale.
Anyway, let's worry about Bristol first shall we?!

Yes to be honest it won’t matter to me which team they play, I won’t have heard of many of them unlike the last time when I had.
Anyway I can’t get too bothered about it at the moment. I’ve got Doncaster tomorrow, Lincoln on Saturday and the small question of a replay to concern me far more. Some of us seem to be taking it for granted that we will get through - I’m sure Bristol will have a very different view and we should respect that.
Time to worry about ticket allocation after the 14th.

Why is drawing us a dream draw for Liverpool? I must confess, I like scousers. When we were in Egypt a few years ago, some us were riding camels back from a trip to the desert. The camels were walking three abreast. There was me, an udder bloke and a scouser lady, (who was great fun), chatting away as we wandered back to camp under the stars. (Stop me if you've heard it), oh, you haven't, great. Forgotten her name, but she suddenly said, "I hope you don't mind me you asking Lads, but sitting on the camel, how are yer gentlemen's bits?" True story. Now then, have you been to Forest Green Rovers? No meat allowed in the ground. They check you on the way in. I owned up to meat and two veg in my underpants. When I was frisked, the steward said, "the veg is fine, and we aren't too concerned about a bit of small gristle".

Likely to be a Friday night or Sunday game. Maybe even Monday night. TV a certainty I would have thought. I'd throw Saturday into that guess just to be on the safe side ;-)

11am kick off on a Sunday 😂😁 Was that the time we played them the last time we met in the Cup? I recall it was a very early kick off. It would be really nice to have another go at them after that I reckon, give us the opportunity to put that right...you know, actually going out there with a plan to win a game of football rather than win a few friends from the North West by turning it into a glorified friendly.

Well I've not been to any of our cup games, but I drove 600 miles to watch us at Blackpool and I'm doing almost 400 on a Tuesday in January to go to Doncaster tomorrow but guess that's not good enough? (Ps, I have 14 loyalty points so I'm cool, but let's play Bristol first eh!) Of course there are exceptions like your good self, but it does grate me something else when we play in front of 3,000 hardy souls in cold, wet November every single year, and yet suddenly everyone is interested in the FA Cup. Due to the possibility of watching a 2nd string/youth Liverpool team likely school us. How’s that fun? I know plenty will get offended at this opinion - 99% of which will fall in to what I’m describing. But yes, let’s play and hopefully beat Bristol first I’m not trying to be clever, but apart from the Mickey Mouse cup when did we only have 3000 supporters at a game in recent times?

Remember the last game well - ludicrously early kick-off on a Sunday morning, some of our star-struck players talking about getting the shirts of their heroes on the other team, Collymore scoring and we never really turned up - it was almost as embarrassing as the more recent Man Utd game. If we do beat Bristol City (and that is still a big ask) lets remember that we outplayed a strong Wolves team at home in the Cup last season and should have won. We are a better team now and, though the Liverpool first team is arguably the best side of all time in the Premier League, we will not be playing them. Their young players look very talented but it will be a completely different experience for them playing away at a League 1 ground. If we do get through the Bristol City replay a massive performance from us would mean that the Liverpool game is winnable.

The best thing about the build up to these big games is reading the sob stories. My favourites are the ones who go home and away week-in, week-our, yet don’t have any loyalty points The more I think about playing Liverpool kids while people scr@p around for tickets like their life depends on it the more I’m starting to think it’s a terrible draw, wish it was away. Don't worry, the replay will be away.

Spot on Pilch
1 supporter number = 1 ticket
I’d love to see the club do something funky, ie get a Bristol ticket to guarantee a 4th round ticket if we win. No chance they will though.
We will need all the support we can get to overcome a Championship side

I’ve already heard of someone who’s buying tickets for tonight’s game and Fleetwood away just to ensure they get the loyalty points, they have no intention of attending!

They probably won't be the only one. Personally I'd buy a replay ticket as its cheaper than Fleetwood away and the club get the money and not Fleetwood.

Clearly have to beat Bristol City first which gives the club some breathing time to work out their potential selling strategy. I’ll need to source a half and half scarf from somewhere, should be someone on Pride Hill tomorrow. Yeah I know what you mean about the bizarre lack of loyalty points for some! Personally, after a season ticket for last 12 years and never having gone to less than 15-20 games a season, since I first went in 1987, I gave up my season ticket to concentrate on final year of degree this season. Add in student overdraft maxed out and I've only made a couple of games. But, y'know, I made that choice. I'll be gutted if I miss out (if we get through blah blah blah), especially if I miss out to people who couldn't name a single player of ours, but I can have no complaints. Just wish loyalty points were an average over last few seasons!
