The closing off of part of the stadium set the tone for this natch being of no importance and it seems to have rubbed off on the players.
The "other" cup that dare not speak it's name, with b teams, will probably see the academy put out - sure they would make a better fist of it anyway.
We will be taking the FA Cup a little more seriously? Had some good games in that comp in the last few seasons.

Whats going on ?? Just when every thing was looking up. As a Shrewsbury fan that's business as usual.

This game must have been one of the easiest that the match referee has ever had to officiate! No bookings, and not one tackle that ever came close to getting one. Rotherham were more or less allowed to carry on with passing us off the park, whilst the lack of effort put in by most of our lot made it look like either a training session or a pre-season friendly. You say that and yet he still missed a clear penalty on Whalley! Yeah so easy to ref 2 serious head injuries whilst he plays on and allows a goal

Bad as last night's result was, don't I recall us losing 6-1 at Wolves in the League Cup circa 1991? That was a quality performance

Well that was right up there with one of the worst performances I have seen. And it's all the managers fault. Golbourne (who I like) is a left back. Fact. Even more so if it's first game for a while. I really struggle to work out how playing that many kids against one of the bigger and better sides in this division helps anyone ? The constant tripe spouted by Ricketts post match is really getting to me now. "We picked a side to win the game". No ya f*****g didn't, otherwise you wouldn't have made eight changes! He'll be gone by Christmas. I hope...

3 minutes and this game was over , the defence and midfield were a shambeles. in 94 minutes of football all we created was one goal mouth clearence and one save. our number 1 keeper was too blame as much as the defence for two of the goals, let us hope he cant be that bad again. walker was the holding defender and looked like a rabbit in the headlights, morrison and fejiri continue to not be on the same wave length numerous route 1 balls were easily defended and promptly returned in some ways ricketts cant win , he puts out 8 players to get some experience with virtually no resrve games ,were will these players get any game time.
i think if he plans to put out a second string team it is only fair to say that this is his plan so fans cant then choose if they want to take a £10 punt
