It's not difficult to find the odd example of a player of this age, or older, who has done well but I think there are probably far more examples of players of similar age who haven't done well.

Decent player. He won the penalty they beat us with when we got back into league one didn't he? He was a right old handful then. Yeah, and scored the other. We’ll soon put a stop to that malarkey when he comes here!!! Two goals in one game? Whatever next!!!!!

It's not difficult to write a player off before a competitive ball has been kicked aka Anthony Grant and a few more over the years.

Hopefully, if this does go through, it will be as a season long loan rather than a permanent deal, with Millwall continuing to pay a good proportion of Morison's wages.

So much negativity.
Here's a guy whos spent his most recent years at our level and above. He's not going to be starting 46 games. He's going to start a few, come on in many. Experienced warrior who defenders hate and you'd always fancy to stick them away.
Think the impact Andy Cooke had in his one season with us
For comparative purposes he's an upgrade on what we went with parts of last season in LJL and AAH.

Providing we get rid of Angol AND AAH it's a decent enough signing. You're right in saying he's a nightmare for defenders to play against.

If we can shift the deadwood early-ish that'd be a boost.

Bit more relieved it’s a loan, was dreading to see we offered him a 3 year contact.
To be fair, Morison has never had to rely on his pace so his age shouldn’t hinder him as much as other players.
He can’t be any worse than Ahmadi-Holloway and provides something different to Udoh and Okenabirhie.
Decent signing for me.

Far better than AAH & Angol even at 35, hopefully they're both swiftly shown the door.

He's 26 and has scored 12 in 146, most League One centre halves have comparable records. Waterfall 34 in 329 (10.33% of games he scores) AAH 12 in 146 (8.2% of games he scores)

His comments on the Town website are a bit strange considering it's a season long loan. He talks of sadness at leaving Millwall etc, not the comments you generally read from a loan signing. www.shrewsburytown.com/news/2019/june/morrison-makes-the-move-from-millwall/As others have said above, I'm glad this is a loan and that we've not made a long term commitment in signing him permanently. I don't see why he shouldn't be an asset next season.

I’m guessing he knows he won’t be getting another contract at millwall...

I'm pleased to see he shops at Tuffins. Buy Juan goal, get Juan free.

Off club website
‘Steve spoke to Shrewsweb last Thursday when the deal was completed and explained how pleased he was to be joining the club despite the tough decision to leave Millwall where he has made over 250 appearances for the Lions.’
Any reason why we waited 6 days to announce this signing? Surely not a typo even for Whitters.

Some of the goals he’s scored in that video are fantastic. So many people go and just moan, I swear. If it’s that bad, don’t bloody go!!!

Funny thing is there’s plenty on here that moan and don’t even go. Not going to call them out though. They know who they are.

Angol everyone expects to leave, but AAH maybe not. You want 4 strikers at least for 2 positions, just depends where he sees the likes of Whalley, Gilliead and Eisa. But ignoring them with Angol leaving you have 4 (+ youth, and who knows about LJL). That sounds about right to me.

Excellent interview and I’m far happier having listened to him and even more happier that we have got Morrison and not Clarke - get the impression that our young forwards will learn alot from this guy and he looks really fit too so game time in L1 May come much easier - good luck Steve
Still think he has a twin brother Robert who runs the bistro in Coronation Street though 😜

Mr Gilliead, Angol could learn alot from him and improve drastically

Quite ironic that Morison's wearing a shirt with Tuffins on it.

Full of admiration for Mr M who says positive things about his parent club, and would expect nothing less, although some think this as being negative is almost laughable.

Good signing.
Might get a sweepstake going on how many times the B&A fanzine twitter account butchers his surname over the course of the season.
Edit: twice already from a quick skim, so 0 and 1 cannot be selected.

Were you beaten as a child or as a young blade at boarding school ? Pack it in or you’ll be put on buffet duties at Mach . until you come to your senses.
