Mr Johnson refused to deny if a potentially staged photograph, that came to light yesterday, was 6 weeks old.
The grainy image showed Mr Johnson and Carrie Symonds holding hands at a picnic table in the Sussex countryside, just days after the pair were embroiled in an argument.
LBC’s Nick Ferrari repeatedly pressed Mr Johnson on whether he knew the image was being circulated and questioned the date of the photograph.
He made the point that Mr Johnson’s hair appeared longer in the image than his current, cropped, style and when asked if the image was "at least six weeks old" Mr Johnson would not confirm.
Mr Johnson confirmed he knew “there was a picture like that in existence” but declined to say where or when it had been taken.
During the 20 minute phone-in Mr Ferrari urged Mr Johnson to confirm that the picture was not recent, asking him if his hair “in this photograph is not your hair currently, is it?”
Although Mr Johnson was questioned at least 23 times about his hair cut he refused to be drawn.
“I'm not going to comment on the antiquity or the provenance of some photo that newspapers decide to put on their front pages,” he said.

”left wing Stasi”, what a laughable tautology. Like saying “right wing Gestapo”. Well, it is Toby Young..... It's funny really, when people on the 'right' call out people on the 'left' for using terms like Fascist, but they are happy to use terms like Stasi.

Johnson has today outlined a few policy ideas including cutting crime, more funding for education, tax changes for all, better communication network and of course delivering on the EU referendum result. So I'm looking forward to oblivion. He also stood by the side of a bus saying we send £350million to the EU every week, along with the inference that we would spend that money on the NHS. He closed down 10 fire stations in his time as London Mayor (all sold to property developers), bought 3 water cannon for over £322k that were actually illegal to use in the UK and were sold for just £11k. Approved the garden bridge and spent £43m on it without a single brick being laid. The total budget was only £53m, so how the hell is the planning process that is 80% of the cost acceptable?
Do you really think that Johnson is capable of putting all of his grand plans in to action without bankrupting the country?
Do you really think that a small reduction in NI for the plebs, alongside his huge tax cuts for the rich will add enough money into the country's coffers to pay for extra police, better education or more money for the NHS?
You carry on with your drive towards oblivion, I'll do what little I can to stop it.

It was painful to watch him making it up as he went along - they need to be buses with passengers on board (because he "paints the passengers") - if he gets interns to do it he will be found out so the buses will need to be accidentally lost or destroyed because you can imagine that this will run and run.

When asked what he thought a Britain run by Mr Johnson might look like, Rory Stewart said: ‘I personally don’t think it’s going to be as bad as Trump but it’s not wholly dissimilar from that.' He added: ‘I think the public have got a pretty good sense of when they’re being confronted by a bulls****** frankly. ‘We’re a really sensible bunch in Britain most of the time and I think most people know the guy’s one.’ Mr Johnson has been accused of hypocrisy over an article he wrote for the Telegraph in 2007 criticizing Gordon Brown for becoming Prime Minister without a general election. The would-be Prime Minister wrote: ‘It’s the arrogance. It’s the contempt. That’s what gets me. ‘It’s Gordon Brown’s apparent belief that he can just trample on the democratic will of the British people.’

If he did bendi-buses he could use real ones that he took off the road and paint a bit of camoflauge on one of the useless water cannons.

If he did bendi-buses he could use real ones that he took off the road. And wash them down with the water cannons he couldn't use. Oh wait, Khan has been able to sell those for scr@p at over £300k loss. The 25-year-old vehicles cost £85,022 each in 2014, but they were found to be riddled with faults and required expensive modification to make them roadworthy. This included £32,000 to comply with the city’s low emission zone, and almost £1,000 on new stereos.

Does he paint the passengers green like he thinks the electorate are? Personally, I am not as green as I am cabbage looking, to quote my dear departed mum.

If Johnson does get the leadership then by the look of this campaign, when it comes to the next general election the only thing going for him will be that he isn't Jeremy Corbyn. Worked for May, will it be enough for Johnson...

Those links to Telegraph articles aren’t very helpful as they’re hidden behind a paywall and I don’t intend to subscribe. ”left wing Stasi”, what a laughable tautology. Like saying “right wing Gestapo”. Or Nazi or fascist. Which we do hear being said, an awful lot. Just that the right have learnt the game now too, its why come what may Labour are going to find it hard to shake off the antisemitism tag. I think its clear now that when it comes to UK politics, some part of that is now about each party (and its supporters) doing all they can to label the one more extremist, racist, whatever than the other. Just another way that politics is played out these days. Going back to Tony Young, he was just having a discussion with a good few on twitter about the incident in that he deems it perfectly acceptable that the neighbors called the police but like so many others, then started to question their motives after they then called the press knowing that everyone was unharmed and well. Quite right too.

This letter to the Telegraph hits the nail firmly on the head:-
"Let’s assume, not unreasonably, that come October 31, and despite best efforts, there is no deal, and no sign of a deal, agreed with the EU that has got through Parliament.
Let’s also assume that Parliament has again set its face against a “no-deal Brexit”.
My questions to the two candidates would be: “What precisely would you do, what actually happens, what is the process at that point?”
I would not let the matter rest until I had received a crystal-clear reply".

It's a fair question. More so because the EU insist that the withdrawal agreement is not up for discussion. So I guess extension. Again. We kick it down the road again. They're just waiting for the EU to make the decision for them, to force their hand... That is where I would put my money, we'd ask for another extension. If not that then perhaps an election. Which I reckon should be happening once the next PM is installed anyhow. Lets get that done before October 31st. It may provided more clarity. May not but it's at a loggerheads now anyhow. And then maybe we could all invite the person who wrote that question to put it to those that matter during the process...

Worryingly having Boris as PM may in some people’s eyes make Corbyn seem like a viable alternative. I have no faith in either delivering a successful conclusion to the Brexit fiasco. Boris will need to appoint the right people to his cabinet and especially the right Brexit secretary because if he gets involved Michel Barnie (excuse the spelling) will run rings around him. Lovable clown act will not work with them Boris.

Amusing fact reported in Private Eye today, Johnson has consistently voted in favour of mass surveillance of people’s communications and activities.

Did he paint this one? Love all this bus chat. At the time it appeared there was general disbelief about how the £350 million figure was conjured up yet now its always bought up as a reason leave won. Straws and grasping come to mind.

In the real world we have to trade with Europe, we have to be part of Europe, we have to share data, criminal investigation work, have free movement, etc. All that can change is not putting the money in and therefore not being a member and losing the ability to have a say in how it goes. The EU will continue at a quicker pace to have all the things that we didn't want because we won't be there to veto them.

So Boris now thinks we should hire an extra 20k police officers because there aren't enough of them and crime is rising.
That would literally take us back to pre coalition levels, would cost about £1bn and would take possibly years to train them all up to be effective police officers, all just to get us back to where we were under the last Labour government.
So, to summarise, that's a senior Tory politician admitting austerity was a mistake and saying things were better under the last Labour government.
The Tories as good as admitted austerity was a purely ideological choice when they announced they were partially reversing it the second we hit a balanced budget, therefore not giving the UK any time to actually pay down any of this debt they're obsessed with. This is the clearest example yet of how thoroughly stupid and wasteful the whole thing has been though. Over that decade we've got rid of 20k trained, experienced officers and are now having to train their replacements en masse at great cost and for what? If anyone can point me in the direction of something genuinely worthwhile austerity has achieved I'd be grateful.
Doubtlessly we'll still get the usual suspects claiming Labour are the fiscally irresponsible party though, somehow.
Baffling.

Is Boris really fit to be Prime Minister of this country?
Then again, we already know Jeremy Hunt is not.
The Tory party has got us into the mire by being scared of Forage and Corbyn. It's a sad state for a dying party, I just wish they were not taking the country with them.

So there is 350 million a week and the NHS can look forward to the good times? Minus enough to cover the extra bobbies of course. The leavers were only fooling when they said we shouldn't take what was written on the bus too seriously.
