Anyone watching, or is brave enough to admit they are!!!!!! Thought Norway and Russia were good bets, strangely liked Iceland though.

If Bing Bang A Bing Bing Bong A Bing Bong A Bing A Bong A Bing doesn't win, there's no justice.

I would have been so tempted to raise that trophy and proclaim "This is for the people of Palestine".

Surely you are not implicating that the Eurovision is in any way politically impaired. Too many arabs in Stafford for my liking.

Fair play to the Icelandic band for doing what they did, went down like a lead balloon in the arena!
As for the contest itself, what a load of corrupt s**t.

not sure why they need the songs
the only decent bit if the voting, and the result would be the same even without songs

Sweden might be in with a shout too. It was always going to be that the UK would not have a cat in hells chance of a decent score.
I did predict at home last night that whilst the judging panels rightly gave the Sweden entry the most points (I thought it was a very decent performance), there are large swathes of Europe that would not give a vote to a black fella and sadly that proved to be the case when the public votes were added..............

With any luck we'll be relegated and our place taken by Borsovia.

Fact is that lots of countries don't want to win it as the cost of hosting the following year is astronomical, so well done to the UK entry again, could have been like the cost of voting to leave the EU if we had won.

Didn't one winning country turn down the chance of hosting it the following year because they didn't fancy the cost of running it?

If Australia had won, they would not have hosted it. Apparently they had come to an agreement with a European broadcaster (wonder who?) to stage it.

It would level the playing field if they did away with the judges from the countries voting for their friends and political allies and left it to a public vote. The votes looked more balanced last night judging on taste and talent when the public vote was counted. There will always be some nationalistic votes out there but it's only Eurovision not the Euro elections.

With any luck we'll be relegated and our place taken by Borsovia. We can't be relegated, we have protected status. Bit like the UEFA proposals for the Champions League!!!

I believe the UK came last. Is that the working title of our next year's entry? We should go with a song based in the football chant "No one like us but we don't care!"
