www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cornwall-47845010Extraordinary story. Injured at 4:30, into the ambulance at 8:00! Notice the way the ambulance service was able to re-categorise the emergency and claim its target time was met. Got to love our target-driven culture. The hospital is less than two miles from the football ground! Good job that Sc***horpe number 5 wasn't too badly hurt …..

I wondered why the game was abandoned when I went through the results this morning.
That is horrendous and the Ambo service managers, can do one with there target time.
The thing is though, I thought an ambo had to be present at games at that level?

To make a serious point it’s downright disgraceful in this day and age anyone has to wait that long.

To make a serious point it’s downright disgraceful in this day and age anyone has to wait that long. Mate of mine at work had a suspected heart attack while at home in Newtown. 2.5 hours to get there. The ambulance was on another call and at certain times they stand down. At night there are 3 stationed and in two hour intervals they finish their shifts. 3 up till 12 , 2 up till two then one left for the night shift. The ambulance guy was telling him. He was ok in the end but don’t rely on one getting to you in the promised time. The cutbacks in ambulance and fire crews is frightening.

If the address had been in Downing Street the waiting time time may have been a little less than 2.5 hours.
