It's a case of how long has this farce been going on, they have had more than enough time to sort this mess out.

I’m sorry but I don’t believe her. If the EFL had really cared they would not have let the situations get this bad in the first place. As it is both their fans and all other clubs’ fans in league one are unhappy because whatever the outcome it will affect other clubs this season. If she was honest she would say that the EFL are worried about the way they look before, during and after these fiascos that they have allowed to happen. It will be more about saving the EFL’s face than caring about fans. Words are cheap madam - do something.

I think this situation is past the caring phase, they should both be expelled and their results expunged Does she understand the criticism from other League 1 clubs though? the EFL seems to have forgotten any responsibility for the other 22 clubs.

Until next week comes and then it'll be another week and so on and so on. Look how long it's taken for a Bolton sale to go through... wait, it's not gone through yet?! 4 buyers? I think these are just empty words from the owner trying to portray himself as someone who's trying to sell the club on when in reality he's there to pull the plug.

If Bury are getting a properly vetted new owner who is going to make things right with unpaid players and suppliers, even if it means compromising their playing budget for a couple of years and show a resl commitment to good governance I'll welcome it with open arms.
If it's another of Day and Dale's mates or some other rogue (rumours were thst ex Port Vale t**t was interested) who will pay the bare minimum to satisfy the CVA and then continue the farce they can **** off.
No extensions either; show some dolid proof of an offer from a fit and proper person or get in the sea, as far as I'm concerned.

Fingers crossed Bury go bust tomorrow and a strong message is sent out to the EFL and teams who think they can spend recklessly and beyond their means.
As harsh as it sounds, if football means so much to them, the people of Bury will have to start a new club and work their way up through the leagues just as Wimbledon and others have done before them. Football will not die in Bury, it will merely have to reset, and if they prove to be a success the only difference will be in the legal paperwork. The history of Bury FC will live on and become attached to the new club; no one will try to steal that from them.
This will be the true test to determine if a Football League club is sustainable in Bury. Paying a League Two striker £8,000 a week just to finish second is not.

This is madness, the EFL have got to take control. Why give a 'final' deadline for expulsion if they're just going to extend it. I have endless sympathy for Bury fans, I can't imagine what they're going though, but doubtless if you speak to Wimbledon, Chester, Halifax, Darlington, Rangers fans you'll get exactly the same answer - that football and spirit and passion and togetherness endures long after a paper legal exercise has killed a club. It's not the legal entity that matters, it's the spirit of a club that keeps it alive and that will surely endure. But, back to the here and now, and the EFL really need to stop taking the p**s out of all the other league 1 clubs. Take Bury out the back, and deal with them. Put it to bed. Move on. Do whatever is necessary to show some backbone and to finally put a stop to clubs constantly taking the p**s. Bury will regroup, and fan a controlled club will emerge, fans will be reenergised and will soon rediscover their passion for all things Bury FC related. In the meantime ourselves and all the other league one clubs and fans can put this sorry mess behind us. But, don't we all know the EFL will bottle this, and it'll drag on all weekend, and probably beyond. An absolute farce.

They surely can't let Bury go on any longer in the hope of a suitable buyer showing up. They can't have a team not having played a single game five or six games in for everyone else.It makes a farce of the league.

Apparently, Dale has just been on Talksport asking for pledges to Bury FC. He has said needs £2.7 million for the Club to survive.
EFL needs to pull the plug TODAY.

A fan's funding group I could understand but Dale shaking the bucket is just dreadful. Pull the plug now, people are being conned.

What chaos! Only two ways this is going to end, bye bye Bury or spineless flipflopping from the EFL. I'm not sure which is more likely.

I have a feeling that come tomorrow the EFL will again fudge the issue and give Bury an extended deadline to get their house in order.
