Personally I thought this case would go on for months?"In his summing up on Friday, Judge Sir Peter Openshaw told members of the jury to be " dispassionate" and "objective" as they strive to deliver verdicts. Addressing the twelve men and women, he urged them to put aside their "emotions and sympathies" when reviewing the evidence."

so those who didn't get the outcome are already asking for another vote nobody accepts anything in this country anymore The jury was unable to reach a verdict. That means Duckenfield was neither found guilty or innocent of the charges. The CPS are said to be seeking a retrial of Duckenfield.

Its been 30yrs of hell for the families and indeed for Duckenfield. Whatever his failings and mistakes he certainly didn't do it with any intent to cause harm. He also has a family. If he is eventually found guilty I cant see anything will be gained by sending him to prison. Having said that if I had had a family member killed on that day I would certainly feel differently Im sure.

With the chance of this possibly going to a retrial I’d suggest to mods to remove or keep close eye on the thread. Judge in the case made it clear any comments on forums during the case could be seen as contempt of Court and are being monitored

And what is there to accept in a jury being unable to reach a verdict? Quoted family members have spoken both in favour of and against a retrial.

It sounds rather dramatic but even forums like blue and amber are subject to the court rules, and those running the site could be held in contempt of court if views on defendants or those giving evidence are expressed on a site Anyone running a Forum needs to be aware of the laws www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/hillsborough-trial-twitter-ban-illegal-facebook-david-duckenfield-liverpool-a8727511.html

Scaremongering to the max Speaking about it after the trial has finished is fine Bit like posting on any thread and warning people that something written could lead to legal action
