Solid half by the sounds of it. We have stopped them even having a shot which is positive. Now we need to take one of these chances and we will be coming back with the 3 points.

town made a bright start , working hard with much better distribution in the last third, ferjiri keeping the defenders ocupied , haynes, grant and laurent having good games most of the half chances have fallen to laurent. what is missing is despite town looking the better team we just have not worked the keeper enough. however a much better performance from town
you would imagine blackpool will change there formation , possibly bring on a sub and you would expect them to up there game. town badly need a goal .

Holloway had a sniff with that ball that ut him through but delayed too long. Laurent really should have scored. But we're doing OK, better side... it is the old chestnut of when you are on top you need to score . however a much better first half by town let us hope we can do the same in the second half and score

Good pressing from Town keeping Blackpool pinned in their half for long periods
Couple of good chances for Norburn and Monsiur Laurent but failed to tuck it away
Blackpool fans booed their team off at HT
First goal will be decisive I feel

Laurent again! Confidence. ? Listening to radio Shropshire. He seems to have had numerous chances that he hasn't capatilized on.

Well you wouldn't think it were Blackpool in 9th and us in 18th at the start of play, think we were the better side. Managed to get within sight of goal once or twice but always a Blackpool player there to block and it just wouldn't fall for us...
Did OK today though, not great but not bad...

this game seemd to fizzle out for town , most of the half chances went to lauernt, as the half progressed the two wing backs seem to sit deeper. subs had no impact and last 15 minutes blackpool had the best chances a free header goes over the bar , a shoot hits the cross bar and waterfal makes a vital block.
90 minutes of football and there keeper did not make a single save. considering they are 9th town looked the better team till the last 15 minutes.
this was a game that town could have won and in the end were fortunate not to lose. instead of having a small gap we now are only one point clear of a relegation place as the gap continues to narrow.

He was able to advance more than the once and get himself in to the Blackpool penalty area but once there there were very few options available to him and so he looked to shoot...and that just resulted in the shot being block and cleared and very little else. Other than that, not much going on close to goal... In the first half we were moving it around quite nice though, we started well in keeping and moving the ball. Just couldn't create the clear cut chances to trouble their keeper. I thought we were set to get the win today looking to how the first half went... That was as dull as it gets. No lack of effort and commitment. Just quality.

Beckles played well - the formation works; we just need a striker

smith comes on and Angol continues to warm the bench, we have a reserve game on wednesday so you would hope Angol will start.

Why ? He's clearly not wanted at the club. I suppose someone like Notts county will take him on loan and pay some of his wages. What a waste. We're in trouble folks and I'm afraid a cheap loan ain't gonna solve our problems....

We've still 18 league games to play so I wouldn't say we are in trouble...and the transfer window is still open for a few weeks yet. It's not all doom and gloom

We're in trouble folks and I'm afraid a cheap loan ain't gonna solve our problems.... is it the club not wanting him or the club who have given him a nunber of chances and he just comes on looking disinterested he is not getting any first team time otherwise he will sit the season warming a bench(which is his own fault) , no one can make him have the right attitude, it is up to him to wont to play and why would anyone take him on loan. getting him in the squad for the reserve game, with smith( to get some game time) will give us an idea of will he take this chances? if he does not then he will be fourth choice fifth if we get another forward and he will be spending the rest of season warming the bench. we cant afford to buy out his contract.

One win in eight now for Ricketts and one point above the bottom four. The pressure is mounting as each win-less game passes, I hope his lack of experience doesn't cost us our League 1 place but I fear it may well do so.
Plymouth play twice more before we next play at Bradford a week on Tuesday, our position could be worse still before we next kick a ball in a League 1 fixture.
Looking at our next few League 1 fixtures, Bradford (a), Luton (H), Bristol Rovers (a), Burton (H), Peterborough (a) it certainly isn't getting any easier. I think we'll end up looking back on today as a missed opportunity rather than a good point.

If ever a game was there to be won, it was today. Blackpool were so poor & let us play in that first half, a first half we controlled but rarely threatened. The 2nd half & the control lessened as the game went on, never more so than after we made our subs. To be fair to Ricketts, I’m sure the hope was that Gilliead would prove better than Laurent in those 1 vs 1 positions we had found ourselves in but in fact we missed JL’s pressing more than we gained from Gilliead’s technical ability.
We nearly even lost it. The effort was there today but quality was not, and we didn’t look like scoring in truth. Think we may live to regret this one in coming weeks...
Over to you in the transfer market Mr Ricketts - I am more underwhelmed with what I’m seeing under SR than the previous two before him. JA seemed an unlucky manager for most part, I’ve yet to feel unlucky under Ricketts, just bored.
