so we are on our travels and we know we have not been pulling up tress on the road; head to head games town have won 9 drawn 5 and lost 5 and most recently we have done well against them.
results over last five league games Blackpool won 1 , drawn 1, lost 3 . town won 1, drawn 2, lost 2 .
the form stats table for the lasts 6 games puts Blackpool at 22 Town 19th
whilst results is not an indicator of performances as we all know you play well and the results dont always go your way. Blackpool won there last game and we caused a a cup upset.
in Rickets latest interview wont's his team to "play flat out they must run harder and further than opposition to give themselves chances at success"
Edwards will not be playing due to a groin strain
depending on what formation Blackpool go with will he play the same formation and start with a 3/ 5 /2 ? will he make any changes to the team?
can Rickets get this team to play for 90 minutes ? can he get them to be more consistent ?
Rickets believes part of the issue "is getting them to believe in themselves and them to know what makes a good performance from them." it is not the first time he has mentioned confidence in an interview and considering our inconsistent performances and currently been only three points clear of a relegation place as we slowly slide down the table ,it would be surprising if there was not any issues about confidence.
will the second half against stoke be a catalyst for change, can town find a way forward ? or will they fall back into long balls and turgid inconsistent performances .
we know what a few good results can do to transform a team , momentum and self belief is part of that . we still have a short period of time to hope the club can strengthen the squad. Town badly need the points equally we badly need to start winning on our travels. however the weather may have other plans as the cold snap and yellow alert continues

We also know that this team is inconsistent, but hopefully the stoke game will have given them that hunger to win. Looking forward to the trip but it's forecast is freeezin🌧❄️☃️ So put on your thermals. COYB a win please.

But if we play 3/5/2 will we have a ‘plan B’ if we need to change things?

The team that started the second half at Stoke has to start this game surely? Nobody would blame him if it didn't work, but many would if he didn't go with it!

Ricketts should start with the 11 and the formation that began the second half at Stoke. Norburn will have to wait his turn and settle for a place on the bench. Ricketts also needs to have a word with Waterfall as most of his 'clearances' are poor and are going to the opposition inside the area. Other than that, more of the same from Tuesday please.

I'd say he was slated for the lack of desire in the team that day, that said, unacceptable, the blame should of been at the players door.
The first half against Stoke was arguably worse than anything under Askey, but people were out for Askey from day one.

Anything other then the second half XI from Stoke will be asking for criticism shall it go wrong, if we start with that XI and it doesn’t work then so be it, but it would be madness to start with anything else. (Unless SR has a very strong case to play something else based on how Blackpool regularly lineup).
All the lads that ended the game deserve the chance to continue that momentum, id be pretty p**sed off to be a part of that comeback then be dropped.

well with the clear out and a new forward we have slimmer squad but still a number of options in midfield,it will be interesting to see the subs bench and will the new forward leapfrog Angol?

Surely deserves a chance. They all have their faults, both Docherty and Norburn have been poor the last few games, do they deserve ANOTHER chance? It seems to be Laurent that we question all of the time. Judge the fella when he plays in his position.

we badly need to start getting some points on our travels lose today and only goal difference would keep us from occupying a relegation place. equally two wins could take us up to a mid table position.

Whatever the formation, it means zero unless the effort and desire is there. From what I have seen away this season in the league, that has been lacking (under both JA and SR).
We need to be committed from the off and for 90 minutes.

We need to be committed from the off and for 90 minutes. absolutely agree to many games were players dont turn up for half the game or look out of sorts or lethargic, with odd glimpses of there potential. the desire was most consistent under coyne i know we struggled at wycombe but that was more about the formation than players not trying ( apart from Angol did he come on as a sub for coyne?) let us hope the stoke second half was not another brief glimpse of what they can do and that they galvanise themselves .

Norburn will come in for Laurent Arnold Haynes Beckles Sadler Waterfall Bolton Norburn Grant Docherty Gillead Okenabirhie Why? Laurent seems to have done well at Stoke and Norburn has yet to be consistent over 90 minutes, so a place on the bench is what he should get. Either that or Laurent takes Gilliead's place.

Well here we go again. Yet another bounce of optimism after Tuesday's second half performance and fight back. I wonder how long it's set to last...

My thoughts too ,” another bounce of optimism “ sums it up perfectly . No doubt I will be effing and jeffing during the course of the afternoon as Town defend like idiots and go a goal or two down only to go beserk as we equalize and score late on from a towering Waterfall header to take all 3 points . Play offs here we come .

Holloway had a sniff with that ball that ut him through but delayed too long. Laurent really should have scored. But we're doing OK, better side...
