There was a baby in the other vehicle and the other two occupants sustained minor injuries. Norfolk Police are promising a proper investigation, which there should be, but can anybody honestly see Mr Windsor being charged if he was at fault?

Norfolk Police are promising a proper investigation, which there should be, but can anybody honestly see Mr Windsor being charged if he was at fault? Unless he's totally blameless he isn't going to get away from the press calling for him to give up driving. As for a sentence if prosecution is deemed appropriate, well, he's already been detained at Her Majesty's pleasure for 70 years or so.

If it is his fault how the heck would you go about claiming off his insurance? Can't imagine it would be too easy getting his details etc.

I've a very nasty feeling that this incident will be turned round by the media into an attack on drivers over 70 retaining their licences. Despite clocking up 7% of the nations car mileage over 70's contribute to 12% of vehicular accidents involving death or serious injury. The media don't need to 'turn it round'.

Also good to see the Duke has admitted fault.
I hope his prosecution for dangerous driving and subsequent disqualification will be dealt with quickly and smoothly.

Don’t want to be disrespectful, but, if he was found to have caused the accident, will he be prosecuted for dangerous driving, driving without due care etc..........or not. If so, surely he will move from the Palace to the Tower of London😆

And driving a brand new freelander to boot. They will do anything for that by royal appointment tag, wouldn't want it to go to Kia would they?

You feel you should support your royal family but at times they do make it very difficult.
