I've just made a nostalgic visit to "The Black 'un". Although I'm friendly enough with the good folks that live there, I haven't been inside until today, when I had to visit on an errand of mercy. The bloke was very grateful and said if ever he could do something for me, I only had to name it.
I said there was Juan thing........"I suppose a pint of Wrekin best bitter and a game of quoits is out of the question......".

Sadly we lost the Red Castle in Harmer Hill recently, due mainly to the landlord's I'll health. Very badly missed. Yeah, sad it's shut. Always seemed popular and did a bargain Sunday lunch to boot. This is a great website for those living in Shropshire: www.pubsurvey.co.uk/Interactive map and details of all Salop pubs.

Yes. Nick is membership secretary so on the committee. I think they are converting the old museum into accommodation. Have they got an 'active property company' too?

Good on the council standing firm here. It was on Midlands news tonight.
