I remember the 1 - 0 league win at home to Stoke 1 Jan 1992. Neil Lyne scored. Half of the riverside given to Stoke's fans too.
That was the last time an attendance at GM was over 8,000. That season I think Wolves, Brum, West Brom and Stoke had half the Riverside.

Their kids are playing at Port Vale tomorrow night in the Checkatrade. They'll probably all be crocked after that. Look at the tackle starting at 1 minute 40... Horrible tackle - Not even booked
Stoke-supporting colleague told me they'd sold 4,000 tickets to watch their under 21s at Port Vale tonight. Vale had sold 400. I could almost have sympathy for Vale - bad enough having to play an under 21 team but the possibility of losing to your city rival's juniors is horrible. But it's Vale, so never mind.

From memory they battered us all game, had nearly 30 corners and we somehow won 1 0.

In with a chance to go to next level. Shame we won't have Fei playing. COYB Has this been Confirmed? Hi pughy just checked on stfc website there is nothing on there, but several on here have said that is the case ( re Fei) I just assumed they were right. I have just googled it and 2 yellow cards in the FACup equals a ban so I guess it is true,

Is there a suspension for waving a white flag? If that's the case, the young sprogs of Stoke should be shown a straight red tonight. Apparently, they were atrocious.
I hope they play them against us. I'm sure Granty will give them a nice smile in the tunnel before they come out.....

Everyone knows the rules and he's picked up a needless booking that has now ruled him out of the Stoke game.

I understand the reasons why the TV companies do it but Man United v Reading has to be one of the least appealing ties in the 3rd round unless you happen to support either club.

It adds money to more money and not grass roots or lower leagues as it should be. The BBC are very blinkered.

You're not wrong, schizo. Man U have supporters all over the world. When we were in India, our taxi got undertaken by that bloody Wayne Rooney riding an old motorbike. Leastways, it said "Rooney" on the back of his football shirt.

I don't think Wolves v Liverpool is a particularly good choice either, but at least it's a competitive game. Despite their indifferent form it's difficult to see Man United struggling to beat Reading who are themselves struggling near the bottom of The Championship.
The televised games have generally been well chosen but Derby v Southampton would have been a better choice than Man United v Reading.

Does that mean we’re playing Saturday at 3pm? It's listed on the BBC as such unless as has been said the police say differently.

In with a chance to go to next level. Shame we won't have Fei playing. COYB The 2 yellow cards resulting in a 1 game ban in F.A. Cup games discriminates against the smaller Clubs, who have 2 more games to accumulate the cards. Beckles, Sadler, Waterfall, Norburn, LJL and Holloway are all on one card. Fejiri is already suspended. What does seem unfair is that all the teams outside the top two leagues will have played a minimum of two games, meaning players are at risk of a one game ban, whereas the big clubs have not yet played so won’t lose any players from theif much bigger squads.

True enough. But against that the bigger clubs will probably devalue the competition once more and play loads of youngsters. Come on Stoke you know you want to - your youngsters look like they could do with a bit of practice after the Vale game...

Surely Stoke playing their youngsters against us would devalue the FA Cup too!?
