You may be right.....another club who believe they have the right to be higher than they are, simply by virtue of glory days long passed.....Nolan could cover for Kendall, perhaps, but who would be reincarnations of Harvey and Ball......as I say, memories.....I rather think that Everton fans weren't too keen on Big Sam's dose of Reality.... But, then again, weren't a club we all love favourites for relegation a few months ago.....?

I have to say I'm not too keen on it either, but Sam is the prime example of recognising the necessity of "cutting his coat to suit his cloth", and sometimes this means a temporary lowering of standards/performance which owners and fans nowadays lack the patience to accept.

Moyes has left Wet Sham too. Think their club and fans are even more deluded if they think they can get better.

Allardyce will now do the punditry for the World Cup, then have a 3-month break in the sun somewhere and be back in the late Autumn to manage the next Prem club who need him in desperation.
It would be nice if a club (and fans) gave him some longevity to see if he can gatecrash the top 5. His football may be dire initially, but if it's effective who cares? Have any of us got tired of our 1-0 wins this season? Not many. Would any of us get tired of doing it again next season? Again, I doubt it.
As long as you get the result, pretty football doesn't matter too much. It's a nice to have, rather than a must have.
