Granted Blackburn are taking it to another level but they're not the only club out there spending money they haven't got. Most are spending more than they earn through income and are dependent on someone to fill the gap. Just unfortunate for us that we have gone up against a club that is prepared to do so and at a level that is way beyond our means. Which of course, looking to their debts, is no bad thing. I mean as daft as it may sound looking to where each club is in the table (we're set the play offs, they're going straight up), in the great scheme of things I know in whose position I'd rather be in at the minute. Thems some really big scary numbers bounded about in that Tito Finances clip above... Nah. Go into administration, screw your creditors, and start again. Some Clubs are very familiar with this routine.

Well done? They’ve broken the rules, We’ve stood by the rules and our fans are saying well done to them?! Interested to know what rules they’ve broken? Any chance if a points deduction?

Doubt it and if there were it would be at the beginning of next season sadly. At least I think that’s what’s happened in the past.

I would rather save my congratulations for the likes of Accrington Stanley, a proper football club in my books. Clubs like Blackburn are alien to me. £100+ million in debt to the Bank of India. Will they survive long term? Who knows and frankly who cares, not me for sure.
I will wish Wigan and Blackburn good luck for next season but that's as far as it goes.

Congratulations to Wigan and Blackburn it has been an interesting and exciting season for us but unfortunately we couldn't quite get to that automatics. But it's not over yet for us and hopefully we will join them to play again next season. COYB

Looking at the resources of Blackburn it makes you wonder how they ever came down in the first place.
Add Dack to a team with Mulgrew and Graham in, aside from all the others, and you have a top half championship team right there.
I knew we were going to struggle when we could not train properly due to waterlogged pitches and football focus ran a feature on Blackburn training on their 4g indoor pitch.
In the modern era they have never done anything without spending their way to it, so it is no surprise they did it again.
Not going up was a disaster for them, whereas going up will be a miracle for us.

Well done?!?! We’ve stood by the rules and our fans are saying well done to them?! Hear hear - I wonder if Samharvey will also be offering his “sincere congratulations” to the significant number of Blackburn supporters who lined the streets to throw abuse at elderly Town fans leaving Ewood Park? Or to the thugs who pelted our goalkeeper with coins and missiles? Or to that sour-faced, charmless windbag of a manager? This thread is an embarrassment. A cringeworthy exercise in virtue-signalling and like-bait, and an insult to Paul Hurst’s valiant efforts this season. One should not behave with good grace towards those whom are incapable. F**k Blackburn, I say! Come On You Blues. That’s individual’s Kl8, not the club. It’s sport, and like it or not, there’s winners and losers. Unfortunately we’ve missed out on the automatic places, doesn’t mean we’ll miss out altogether, and we need to be gracious enough to admit defeat in what’s been a season long, ding dong battle. I’d like to think fans from other clubs would do the same if it was us.

You may like to think it but the past few weeks on here have made me think it wouldn't happen. After all, we've put up with a lot of twaddle from Blackburn fans and only one of them has been on here since last night - a genuine fan obviously.

In a time where so many clubs are living beyond their means it's refreshing to see plucky little Blackburn Rovers and unfashionable Wigan Athletic sitting a top of League One. *sarcasm*
Football is still the people's game.
Unfortunately those people are the mega rich who are looking to launder their reputation. Sunderland will no doubt look to do the same next year and they will have Pr£mi£r L£agu£ parachute payments to help them jump back up.

Yes, well done Blackburn. Ultimately we got caught short right at the end of the season and couldn't quite last the pace and to go 30+ games unbeaten means deserved success. Thanks pal. And genuinely, full respect you as fans and as a club. You have shown a lot of class here, and also your squad for coming out and showing fight to win 3-1. That should give you all real pride. You have a great club, decent fans and a team to be proud of and a really decent manager. You have performed a miracle by being up there so long, and getting so many points. Pretty much any other season, your total would have seen you up. We at Rovers will be cheering you on in the play offs, hopefully you rightly get you place alongside us and Wigan in the Champ. It would be fitting you got that Wembley hoodoo off your back. And what a great way of getting there aswell. All the very best.

Find it hard to offer them my congratulations to be honest, and Mowbray has a face that would sour a bottle of milk in a instant.

There is nothing in the rules about being sporting. You go toe to toe with a club, you battle all season long. Once its over you shake hands and wish them well. But not everyone has to do that.

They were better than us in the end, as every single person would’ve expected them to be if asked last summer. They said they’d finish above us and then did so well done them.
If we miss out will be looking back at certain games that could’ve made the difference, and not turning up at Ewood Park is certainly one of those games.

If they’d stuck to the rules, would they of finished 2nd? Ask the same question about Wolves, PSG, Man United, Man City, Real, Barca to name just a couple? Hopefully in the interest of fairness its looked into at all levels. Take away Leicester Citys title win. QPR would also be in massive trouble . And Leeds, Forest, Bolton the list is endless.
