Good result for us. If we can continue playing like we did at Charlton we have every chance of being in the automatics. Looking forward to Saturday's game. Unfortunately have to miss the Tuesday cat game as working. COYB (Town blues of course).

Where are the Blackburn chicken chokers tonight seems like blowing a two mill lead is to much for them? Sorry - was out. Disappointing yes. Thought we should have put the game out of sight but TM loves to sit and try to hold onto results rather than keep on the attack. it is why I do not put much faith in the guy...if he was any cop - he would not be with us anyway. Lets not forget he relegated two clubs in one season last season. I think you saw in that match who had the best squad/team but the difference is the manager. While he can spot a player and can do the business in the transfer market, his tactics can be awful at times. Anyhow, another twist in a very interesting season - next on stage is you guys, best of luck.

Blackburn looked up for it much as they did vs us, that big game mentality might be an advantage to them as each game gets bigger and more important. Very poor goals to concede though.
Entertaining game and a good advert for league one. Most annoying thing for me though was how both teams tried to referee the game, that sort of crap should stay in the Premier League.

TM is the reason for that - we concede stupid goals as he tried to be Man City attacking team. The contradicition, is that during games, he sits back. It just does not makes sense. Agree on advert for league one - was a good match.

I believe the highest paid player at Shrewsbury is on £299.00 a wick, sponsored by soup kitchens uk. They are allowed to supplement their earnings by sitting by the English bridge with a bored looking mongrel dog curled up at their feet, playing a tin whistle and asking passers by for nobbins.

To me this was the perfect result with neither of our rivals making any significant ground and our destiny is in our own hands once more.Got to make the most of this opportunity ,waited since 1979 and I won't be around in another 40 years time.Added bonus of today's result is no Blackburn fans coming on here tonight trying to take the ****(apart from Mikey but I don't mind him)😋.

haha not trying to take the p**s. You and us up - always said that.
We missed a chance - so while a few of our fans are happy with the draw, im not. 2-0 up at home to Wigan, we should be going away with the win.
Still, a draw is not the end of the world - just makes the run in a little more exciting.

I like all away fans who come for a bit of banter. I'm particularly fond of easy3points. While I was away and not looking at the forum, out of the "blue" he sent me a PM calling me a c*nt! I'd been away 10 days at that stage, so it must have been festering in his massive brain for a while.

Good to have you back Jaytee. Can't make my mind up about Easy3points myself as I don't understand a word he says.I tried Google translate but all I got was a message saying 'language not recognised but we don't translate e anyway'.

It's no surprise. A 2-2 draw has a couple of our toss-pot fans avoiding a message board after goading in previous weeks. I knew before the match that there was far too much expectation and over-confidence. I think a lot of that is borne out of holding Venkys to atone for their dire management of the club over the last 7 years. I also think a lot hold these high expectations because, if we don't win, well they can just get angry and enjoy that, instead.
I was delighted at half-time, and thought there was a huge difference in quality between the two teams, but Wigan battled it out in the second-half, and we bottled it out. A draw was probably a fair result, all things considered, and we were the team hanging on a bit in the end. I suspect deep down that both teams just wanted that match out of the way without too much damage. Wigan will be happier than us with that point, but they've yet to get into their heavy run of fixtures (two matches per week until the end of the season?).
Again, if anything, at least it's an exciting finish to the season.

Were there any tossers of the coin variety in the crowd or do they just turn up for Shrewsbury games?

Interesting to hear the commentator saying that the end of the parachute payments meant a £17 million hit.. I wasnt sure if it was pointing at Blackburn or Wigan or both.
Keith Andrews was very dismissive at the end too when asked whether the result did eaither side any good he just said it was a good result for Rotherham and no mention of Salop

Again, if anything, at least it's an exciting finish to the season. Thank you for your comments; interesting reading. P.S Ignore the discredited poster immediately beneath your original post. He is a dyed-in-the-wool club apologist, and is widely regarded as having the charisma of a damp rag. Were he a Blackburn fan, he would undoubtedly be a staunch supporter of the Venky’s regime. You know the type, I’m sure!

I don't care if they forget all about us to be honest. Just keep doing the business and stay under the radar.

Again, if anything, at least it's an exciting finish to the season. The pompous pontificator KL8 lives in his own fantasy world and believes his own hype. His light dimmed long ago and was probably dropped at birth. he needs to spend more time finding himself a girlfriend / boyfriend instead of looking for confrontation so he can quote the dictionary and try to pass off quotations as his own. blueandamber.proboards.com/thread/96807/re-90-minutes-wembley?page=5
