Noticed that the maestro wasn't on the mic today. Where was he?

He wasn't on Tuesday either. I find this quite concerning - he is the voice of Shrewsbury Town.

His programme notes said he was in the Beacon pub when the Plymouth game was being played.

I’m sure he normally misses a couple in the autumn, might be an annual holiday.

Ryan is a superb ambassador for our club. I'm hope he is ok.

Didn't we have a thread about how awful he was last season? Something about always welcoming the away team or something? I forget sometimes about the bizarre things people complain of.

Yes we did. But most people were supportive of Ryan. Those that travel away and listen to the rubbish belted out by their announcers, realise how lucky we are to have a true Town fan in Ryan.

Enjoy your hols and come back refreshed and revitalised.
He is a big part of what makes Shrewsbury Town Shrewsbury Town. I like supporting a team that gives the opposition a great big Shropshire welcome, especially now we have a team that can go on and give them a great big Shropshire thrashing and then wish them a safe journey home.

Ryan is enjoying a two week break elsewhere in the world. In the mean time his son has been doing a sterling job with the microphone on the pitch at half time.

Ryan is part of the STFC match day fabric for me, hope he is enjoying his holiday wherever he is and look forward to him returning.

Wasn't the announcer yesterday part of Ryan's family? as I'm sure I heard him say my uncle Ryan at half time!.

No way should anyone take 2 weeks holiday when there are 2 home games scheduled.
There are 4 occasions this season when we have 2 away games scheduled for consecutive Saturdays. One of those 4 should clearly have been selected!

Your right and you can hear hi as well..... maybe a new microphone? The club put on twitter the other week that a new microphone was on order, so it must have arrived. It's refreshing to actually hear the announcer on the tannoy in the west stand for the first time in ages.

And just to complete the jigsaw, I am Ryan's brother and I asked for a mention for an old school friend of mine HKShrew who went to the Priory Boys with me and has been a long time Shrewsbury supporter from afar.

Ah, Ryan's brother are you. In that case I've changed my mind, I think he's rubbish.
