Of course he is - Henderson isn't coming here to benchwarm and I bet Macgilivray isn't overly enthused either

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Leutwiler is on his way.
The fact that PH was so keen to bring in another keeper in January suggests he wants a replacement.

Burton obviously surplus to requirements which must be a big disappointment to town as he was next big goalkeeping hope. He has not come on as hoped. Danny Coyne must be especially disappointed as he has also seen the dip in form of Jayson. Lewis and Rowley have however been pluses in that department.

Unless it is for a large amount of cash that the club will demand for Jayson as he has one more year on his contract, I would more then likely expect both the youngsters to go out on season long loans. I could be wrong though.

In the market for a second keeper? Just signed John Ruddy If you read the article linked to that Twitter post you would have seen this. It's understood that Andy Lonergan has been told he can leave the club this summer, meaning Ruddy may not be the last goalkeeper to arrive before the season starts on August 5.

I respect Loots. I was at Grimsby that night he suffered that horrific injury. If it's made him a bit more hesitant, I'm not surprised.

I think you have pinpointed the career changing moment for Leutwiler. Some tend to forget how good he was before then, but clearly he's never been the same keeper since.

Give your head a shake NWM he was never good, just protected by a good team in front of him in league 2.

Wherever he ends up I wish him nothing but happiness and success. He's been a very competent and successful keeper for us and played a major, major part both in securing us a promotion and ensuring we maintained that position. Will always have good memories of his time at our club.

I really rate Leutwiler, I think it's a mistake to let him go.
Definitely one of the best shot stoppers in the league.
Got to trust Hurst though, his judgement so far has been very good.

I don't think he was the wonder keeper a small number of our fans made him out to be after the promotion season but equally he is nowhere near as bad as you and your mate have made him out to be. An excellent shot-stopper but his lack of taking control in the box and his preference to punch will mean he will struggle to get beyond league 1.

But I assume that you agree that his performances have deteriorated since the Grimsby incident? I think he has struggled in both League One seasons where his weaknesses have been shown up. The Grimsby injury is just a convenient excuse for his shot stopping fans....he has always failed to dominate his area and been hesitant with his decision making. I think our goalkeeping coach may well come under scrutiny as well due to none of the keepers having progressed as we would like!

Give your head a shake NWM he was never good, just protected by a good team in front of him in league 2. Could not disagree more. We are all too aware of JL's weaknesses when coming for crosses and dealing with set pieces but his shot-stopping is as good as anything we have had in recent years. The lad has played a huge part in our promotion and maintaining our L1 status. PH could barely hide his frustration in some post match interviews last season after Jayson had made some costly errors so I'm not surprised he want's to change things between the sticks. We now however have 4 (discounting JL) keepers with very little league experience. Burton, Rowley & Henderson have a handful of appearances between them and MacGillivray (19 career league appearances) looks very much like being the new Mark Halstead. The Henderson signing is a bit of strange one for me as PH didn't play him at Grimsby. Henderson broke into the first team once PH left for Salop but Hurst obviously kept tabs on what was happening on the East coast. There is no doubt Henderson is a great prospect but would prefer he was jousting for a 1st team place with a more experienced keeper in case he cannot make the step up to L1. Interesting times ahead.

If and when Jayson does leave, I will be sad to see him go, both sentimentally and for his efforts on the pitch.
He was a big part of our promotion season, and I will never forget towards the end of that campaign the feeling of the stand shaking in our chants of his name after the final whistle away at Bury (Despite the result). He contributed to a record number of clean-sheets, and was a vital cog in what was a very good side.
There's no doubting he has struggled somewhat during his time in League One, and last season in particular he committed a number of errors. However, he still pulled off some excellent saves which proved crucial in our survival.
With loyal players a dying breed nowadays he's been a good servant, and it'll be sad to see the last remaining stalwart of the 14/15 season go. A very good lower league 'keeper, and a thoroughly nice bloke as well.
So, if the time does come for you to depart then thanks Jays, and all the best for the future. You'll certainly be remembered fondly by me.

That was a sure fire goal Jayson saved that night. I'd already started sobbing when it was Juan on Juan when Monkfish was through on goal. For those of you that remember Marc Richards Part Vole "goal", it was similar to that, except in this case, Monkfish was entitled to go for da ball. It was like the Alley Mo. Good defence? They were a ****ing shambles. How we came back with a draw I'll never know. We were forced to defend that deep, I thought our back four were somewhere in Market Drayton. Thinking about it, there were 74 other daft barstewards freezing their nuts off.
I'd love the Grimsby manager at Salop. Can't remember his name.

one of the best reflex keepers we've had for years but i'm happy to see what else we have on offer
its hard to compare keepers but i'd say if there was a stat on how many points he'd saved per game i reckon he's one of our best
his kicking wasnt good and his cross taking was non existent but we've had far worse
glyn garner for one
i got a kicking once on here for suggesting he was a liability but it wasnt until he got replaced that we noticed the difference
a successful side always has a leader for a keeper, always there, always strong, unflappable
if we do have aims for success then jayson isnt that man but if staying up is the aim then he fits the bill
what we do need is 2 good keepers at the club something we've not had for quite a while
