I wish we'd hurry up and bin McGivern off. A far worse player than Lancashire or El-Abd. He has obvious ability but the way he plays and acts is a kick in the teeth to anyone who had the misfortune to pay his wages. To say I would drive him to any new club prepared to have him is an understatement, I would drag him by the hair to any club prepared to have him. Falkirk sounds good.

To be fair, you don't play as many games as he did by chance. I just think we got him at the wrong end of his career. His sending off at Bury was the low point for me. I said, (knowing these things ), "Mickey will sub him at half time.........oh no, here he comes....and there he goes.....).

I don't think paying players off is the Chairman's way, which is why we have had many players in the past seeing the season out sat on the bench. Hope your right and we haven't wasted any money paying him off but surely El-bad can't walk away from a years salary without something to go to. Don't get me wrong, I'd be quite happy to see him do it. [br Would you walk away with nothing when you have a legal document which entitles you to e year's salary? I am damned sure that I wouldn't. People have families to feed ad bills to pay.

But definitely matched by McGivern's crazy sending off at Walsall which effectively cost us the game.

We've had some rum players being sent off including the flying feet of Black in recent years. Saying that Sadler had a few Muppet moments and turned it around.

I'm not altogether sure he actually arrived. He'll take so long to turn round and leave that he'll still be here in December.

For a player who had 500+ games in championship and couldn't organise the defence very disappointing. As were most of melons conference ready f##kwits.

If Wycombe are prepared to give El Abd a 2 year deal, then I'm suitably encouraged that there's a Club somewhere out there that will take on McGivern.

Nice that Wycombe have returned the favour after we acquired a donkey (aka David Winfield) off them a few years ago.
It's worth remembering the old adage though. Two donkeys don't make a right.
I'm certainly not expecting this to be an exception.

If ever a team deserved a bloke who can't discipline himself I would have to say it's them!! Just when I thought I couldn't dislike them any more karma arrives.

Probably will work out as bad for us as Joe Jacobson has.

Probably will work out as bad for us as Joe Jacobson has. Difference is owd boy, not too many town fans wanted Joe to leave. El Abd is different altogether. Buckinghamshire's fast food outlets will be rubbing their hands with glee.

I'm not sure he's got the right DNA to be League Two ready.

I'm not sure he's got the right DNA to be League Two ready. Agree. Not sure he will fit in with the play acting, diving, Ainsworth cheats.

I put an initial question out asking whether we had to pay him off? In light of him now signing for the wiggles it will now be a waste of money from our point of view if we've had to pay him anything now he's ended up with them. Same goes for Lancashire.

True, but a player under contract holds a strong hand. They are told to find another club and once they do they can also negotiate a pay-off. I doubt many players will receive their remaining years in full but I bet most leave with a healthy sum.

Probably will work out as bad for us as Joe Jacobson has. Joe Jacobson was a completely different kettle of fish. It was a bad mistake to let him go. 1. He wasn't over weight. 2. He was very disciplined on the pitch. 3. He could move about. 4. He wasn't a captain that set a terrible example to younger players. 5. He was a very good representative of our football club. The wiggles most definitely benefited from our loss of him. I doubt they will this time.

I suppose in this day and age of football transfer dealings then this probably goes on a lot. El bad has found his level at the wiggles but it's still frustrating seeing much needed money wasted on yet another of mellons so called league 1 ready players
