More like congratulations to the 30 odd % who voted for it...
But let's not go round the houses again... everyone has an opinion and apparently what's done is done

Nothing to be congratulated about. Still as has already been said, what's done is done. Still in a few years time we see what a dog's dinner of a mess this country is in at least I can sit back with a clear conscience and think I didn't vote for it.

Yes, the vote was the vote, for all its faults.
But the final deal - who wants to bet what that will look like? Seems certain that a lot of people won't like it and one thing's for sure - nobody, least of all in our government, knows what it will look like.
Celebrate the referendum result by all means but I wouldn't get too carried away just yet.

Well done to all the Brexiteers. Celebrate the anniversary of the most disastrous PM in living memory which has been the result. Already cost the country millions with a completely unnecessary election.

Sorry to be attention seeking but with regards my point that we haven't left the EU yet, why are you celebrating our independence?

Brexits over. May has seen to that.
Whatever we end up with now will be a watered down version of EEC membership

If you voted Remain you know what you'd be getting.
If you voted Leave you've literally no idea what idea what you will be getting. Not sure what there is to celebrate at this stage...

Well said. So **** that. Instead of paying useless European ****ers do **** all losers, let's spend that money on our local services.
Let's think now.....perhaps training up our own doctors and nurses instead of stealing them from overseas on the cheap, absolute disgrace. I've never understood the arrogance of that, as if we're doing those countries a favour. Make sure our emergency services have all the equipment and training they need.
Education. Perhaps all our pupils can have access to modern computer equipment out of school hours? Instead of closing libraries, they should be open in the evenings with full training available. This might come as a shock to some of you, but not all families can afford computers, and many with several children have to share it, so when the kids get home, their education basically stops. Why should poor kids be penalised?
All children should be taught to swim. Every child should have access to swimming lessons within a decent radius of their home. The hours of swimming pools should be expanded, not cut.
"Emergency, which service?"
Quick, send me a drunken EU Commissioner".
"I'm afraid they're all out to an all expenses dinner which would keep low paid families fed for a year".
Sorry, very left wing I know. Then again, I don't have any class.

To paraphrase, let's keep that £350 million a week we give the EU and spend on our health service instead? Sounds familiar.

Although I voted to stay in the EU I hope we have a hard Brexit at least then if it all goes pear shaped the leavers will not be able to blame anyone. A soft Brexit and the leavers will get their verbal knives whoever they feel they can blame for the failure.

Well it wasn't me that said that, young man.
But if you think the NHS has plenty of money, that's fine, I could probably arrange for you to receive a menu from the non-elected "Commissioners" regular feasts. Should make interesting reading. Perhaps you could pass it on the hospital chefs to see if it gives them any ideas for alternative dishes.

Thing is JT, and I do respect your opinion on this, but the reason all these things you mention, NHS education et al, don't have enough money has nothing to do with the money we pay to the EU, it's political choices, and if anyone does believe, with respect, that the NHS education et al will see any of this EU money then they are frankly deluded. I have no beef with us leaving the EU if that's the democratic decision, but to argue that the money we save, if we do save, will go to the NHS education etc, is frankly insane, unless we have a government that makes such things a priority over say, tax breaks for big corporations, the rich etc.

Interesting results in a Sloppy poll today. Jeremy Corbyn is favoured by the largest number to lead us through Brexit.
