Doesn't stack up does it? I've foregone my season ticket seat so that I can sit with my family, who are all in the 5+ loyalty points bracket. It was fine for the Chelsea game. Bit unnerving having to wait and that announcement doesn't help a bit - I find it very hard to believe that we have 4,500 STHs and 20+ loyalty points holders. That's very risky/ foolish . Wouldn't have any sympathy there if you failed to get a ticket Why would I want your sympathy? I don't care if you think I'm being foolish, I'd rather sit with my family than on my own. But thanks for your concern. You don't work in the ticket office by any chance, do you?

I guess I would do what I needed to do(bit scary if it was at Milwall though!)Still think it is only right that Salop fans come first before plastic away 'fans'. can you explain 'plastic' no idea what that means let me guess you buy a home ticket at the den before the plastic millwall fans get one ?

I've got 9 loyalty points which just excludes me from the 10+ which is annoying, especially when I bought Blackpool ticket post draw meaning I don't get the loyalty points, I've had full intention of travelling to Blackpool all season but because I bought post draw i don't get rewarded for that, I don't understand that personally.
For many seasons I've had a season ticket, but this season I didn't have the cash at the time, unfortunately I don't buy away tickets beforehand and although I've been to every home game this season I don't always add it to my account.
Want to make it clear i'm not complaining, its my fault and its a lesson learnt, hopefully other people like me who go to the vast majority of games but don't quote their supporter number have learnt the same lesson as me then we won't have this situation next time. I've kinda got to the point now where I feel the hype has died down and if I get a ticket then great if I don't then I'm not going to be devestated about it, there was a degree of dissapointment when the draw was made for me to be honest as an away trip would be far better.

I'm the same in that i get my away tickets mainly on the day. (I'm not able to go to the United game) - but I know I could of improved my position by buying away tickets in advance, but on some occasions it is not until nearer the day of the game that i know for certain i am going. If there was a feasible way of capturing away tickets brought on the day, maybe by providing a supporter number to the ticket office of the away ground(?), have someone from the club collecting when you arrive through the turnstyle(?) and then getting your loyalty points up dated then that would be great - but i realise that this probably isn't ideal.

I suppose the glib answer to this is to say, next season buy a ST. I know that some fans , for obvious reasons of finance are unable to afford the money in one lump sum pre- season. I think it would be a good idea prior to the start of the 2016/17 season if maybe this post, or something similar, could be brought forward again, just as a " heads up" to all supporters to a) register your details and b) make sure every ticket you buy is recorded against your Supporters Number. Its a a shame that loyal fans like Danny may miss out, but as he says himself, " it' s a lesson learnt". Best of luck to all.

Still would LOVE an explanation from the club as to how we have sold 6000 tickets. 6,000 - 1,500 = 4,500. I would be VERY surprised if we have over 4,500 fans with ST's/with over 20 loyalty points. This cannot be right ! Our attendances have been very poor this season. Absolute joke. Interesting to see how STFC value fans. Yes I should be OK as I have over 5 points however it's the principle of it that makes me so mad. Money talks ££££. **** the corporate gobs**tes, **** the club for allowing them extra tickets. Surely only pursable explanation. Getting madder and madder the more I think about it tbh On a brighter note, see you at Blackpool tomorrow chaps ! Not that I've gained any extra 'loyalty' points from going to that or the game last weekend. COYB

Not sure whether you think I have been a little hard on them or whether it's a wind up,Pilch.Anyway here's a little imaginary tale which might help...
The year is now 2036 and Shrewsbury have progressed to the Premier League following a huge investment by their new American owners. They have not been out of the top four in the last ten years and have won a very impressive amount of silverware. You and I were both born in Accrington and still live on the outskirts of the town, working for a local firm.We have both been Salop supporters ever since they won the Premiership for the first time ten years ago.Neither of us have ever been to the Starbucks Meadow but we do know that Shrewsbury is somewhere in Wales. Most of our work colleagues have been Accrington supporters since they were little kids and follow them regularly home and away through thick and thin even though they have not fared as well as Salo p and have for the most part played in league 2 where they now are. They have regularly invited us to go along with them to watch their team but we have always declined as we are not really interested in lower league football and they're never going to win anything anyway. We're far happier to support our team on TV from the comfort of our armchairs and we do our bit by wearing our relica shirts down the pub,in the supermarket and on holiday.
One season the mighty Salop are drawn away to Accrington in the 5th round of the FA Cup and it's only about 15 minutes away on the bus so we decide to go and watch our team in the flesh for the very first time.We have one small problem ,however,we don't know exactly where the Accrington ground is but we do know that it is very small and it will be nigh impossible to get tickets because we don't have season tickets nor those loyalty point things they are all talking about. We ask a few of our workmates to help us out but they seem strangely reluctant to help .A few nights later the solution drops in our laps at the pub when in walks Flash Harry(always seems to be able to get his hands on tickets for popular events if you are prepared to pay enough).Sorted.
Finally, match day arrives and we set out for the ground after looking up the directions on Google.Unfortunately we get a bit lost between the bus stop and the ground and arrive 15 minutes late but no problem as the score is still 0-0.As the match goes on we start to get a bit bored but we stick with it and are duly rewarded in the 89th minute when our new £150M striker signed from Inter Milan dives to the floor in the opposing penalty area and referee Deadman signals a penalty.Andy Mangan Junior steps up to the spot and scores at which point we both celebrate wildly much to the annoyance of the home diehards sat around us.
On the way home we both agree that it made a change to actually watch the match at the ground but won't repeat the experience as its too much hassle getting there and pretty uncomfortable on those terraces in the wind and rain.Best watch the lads on Match of the Day in future like we normally do. THE END
Oh b****r,is that the time? Just realised I forgot to iron my Leicester shirt ready for MOTD tomorrow!
Anyway back to reality now Pilch.Have a good day out tomorrow, enjoy the match and let's hope we come home with 3 points.

If someone with 9 loyalty points which is equivalent of 9 home league matches can't get a ticket then there is something seriously wrong

I currently have 15 points and the online system wont allow me to book. I think that will be the greater issue than the demand for tickets!

At a guess, 1 per player on both sides, 1 per youth team player for us, we surely have to give united's hierarchy some padded seats too, plus a ton of journo's from the written press, perhaps they're all being counted as purchased tickets? Still seems too high.. 2 per player mate . Least we will be at the big game this time and not a sports bar in Lanzerote!!

Guy at work who daughter goes out with a first teamer says just two per player.

I have supported the Town for 40years + and go to away games when I can. Please get your facts straight before making wild allegations, do try not to get any madder.

If someone with 9 loyalty points which is equivalent of 9 home league matches can't get a ticket then there is something seriously wrong If you've been to 9 games in pretty much the first half of the season, and didnt consider the 6 match flexi-ticket offer which gives you cheaper tickets AND a 10 loyalty point bonus then the sympathy drains away somewhat.

Well isn't that a relief ! Thanks for clearing that one up sir, I will certainly sleep slightly easier tonight. 43 loyalty points...is there some kind of loyalty point fraud going on here ? We have played 30 league games so far and cup games do not count towards this, yet you have 43 loyalty points ? Or maybe I am going insane. I really do not think my allegations are that 'wild' at all. We have simply sold more tickets than we should have baring in mind season ticket holders and loyalty points. Your 43 loyalty points proves this further, unless you buy for someone else also/take up 2 seats...if you buy for someone else why do they not have their own supporter number?

Great some people speak sense on here ! Obviously happened, the club have been unfair with the ticketing of this fixture already. Be great if the club were fair with the real fans, something clearly not adding up. Here for the long haul and travel through thick and thin spending majority of my hard earned cash on supporting them yet do not get treated well!! Can't for the life of me understand why the club wouldn't give out loyalty points for the away games to fleet wood and Blackpool because "of Manchester United fans getting in the home end " . Yet any remaining tickets go on "general sale " . Yes general sale , not anybody with a supporter number .

How does that work? We are normal everyday working people who decide to spend a large chunk of our hard earned on watching and supporting our club in the best way possible we can. We have to make sacrifices to do so but it is the best thing we have ever done. Now that doesn't make us better supporters than you but neither does it mean that we are any less supporters than you. The old cliché "prawn sandwich " is laughable but I take offence at being called a gobs**** simply by being a member of a club. If you are that bothered about the "advantages" of anything corporate why don't you become a member. Simples. And in any case I understand that there are maybe 250 Sovereign members so even if we all had an extra ticket(which we have not) then your sums don't work out anyway.
