There is a big difference between quality of the squad and the size of a club, sure Tottenham and Liverpool have had roughly similar quality in there sides in recent years but the fact remains that Liverpool are a giant global brand with an incredibly strong following no matter where you go. In terms of actual size Liverpool are factually not far behind the likes of United, Madrid, Barca and Bayern but the squad falls massively short due to consistently bad by Bobrowser Ads 1.1"> investment. I find it frustrating when people confuse the size of the club with the quality of the squad, there completely different things.. Look. I think we all get that you are a Liverpool fan, and not surprisingly you will tow the party line. But like all Liverpool fans you completely miss the point as to your actual status in the world game. You were good for 20 years some time ago, that's it ! To compare yourselves with Real, Barca, Bayern and United in global appeal is ludicrous..and until you stop doing that and concentrate on getting the basics right you will continue to live in the glories of a bright generation and ignore the current situation The global fanbase speaks for itself, go to the likes or Singapore or Hong Kong and I guarantee you that at-least 50% of the football shirts you see are Liverpool. I'm not saying that Liverpool are on par with those sides, I'm simply stating that there not that far behind, certainly far nearer to them then the likes of Tottenham. Size and recent success of a football club are completely different things. Huge errors on the commercial side since the beginning of the prem have cost the club dearly, Moores while his heart was in the right place and genuinely tried his best simply made far to many mistakes and lacked the finance to cover for them. The club has been suffering from that ever since but Fenway Sports Group are steadily getting the club back on track. The money is there and now with a heavily expanded stadium along with probably Klopp Liverpool have a very bright futire. My initial point with Brendan stands, good potential who can work wonders with a team looking to making a real footprint in the league but he has no idea when it comes to building a top side, he focuses and gambles far to much on good players from small sides with the majority being young players with potential. When things start to go wrong he completely drops his entire philosophy with a new one, Liverpool started with an insane obsession with possession to then all out gung Ho Alamo to then counter attacking and now hoof it up to Benteke. His inexperience is blatantly obvious and currently he lacks the mental strength required for the job. That said long term I think the fans will see Rodgers in a more positive light then negative, he did give Liverpool fans without a doubt the most exciting and closest challenge for the title since the club last won it. He turned Sterling in to a player the club sold for 50M, he turned an english Chelsea reject in to one of the best striker's around and now the club's most vital player, he's played a part in bringing through possibly the club's next big scouser in Rossiter along with turning Jordan Henderson from a flop to not only an integral cog, a fan favourite but to a Liverpool captain.

Liverpool 20 points from their last 17 league games. That's relegation form.

I was talking to a Man U fan yesterday, who said He was hoping Klopp would come to Old Trafford when "the idiot we've got now goes" he said that it was disappointing that Liverpool seem to be getting Klopp and Guardiola has apparently commuted to City next season.

I'm not LVG's biggest fan but he is certainly building a solid foundation for the next manager. I don't think United fans have to be concerned about anything, they will achieve top four again this season. Giggs is clearly in line to take over as United manager when LVG retires, which I don't think will happen for another two or three years. Even me, as a non-United fan would be jealous of a management line-up of Giggs, Scholes, Neville and Butt. Those guys will surely follow Giggs into the position. That would be far better and reassuring than having some big name from a different league take over your club. As for Klopp. I really like him and I really liked the Dortmund side he built up, before the downfall last season. He will have the ability to bring in solid defenders which Liverpool desperately need - Subotic or Sokratis potentially. I don't see him as a league winner though.

That's a hell of a commute Predictive text mate. I thought technology was intended to improve things. Try "committed'.
