On the plus side with Mickey D now becoming a god like figure, we may see the end of the threads about Tom Bradshaw as they are replaced by endless reports of Mickey D's performances The end of threads about Bradshaw ? Never. Just a whiff of his jock strap is enough to send some on here mental . No, Bradshaw baiting is here to stay, for quite a while yet anyway.

Did Bradders score in the g***'s one nil defeat? Surely if Collo can get a goal whilst sat on the bench, anything is possible.

Demetriou was decent enough at League 2 but I can understand Mellon's point of view on defensive and attacking points of view, with the former being a main concern. He gave Nat K-P some work covering in the first half of the season and also the end ball was often disappointing.
That Sadler has been brought back suggests that Mellon's main concern was defensively and also that he thought 4 at the back would be the formation of choice this season.
So, not unhappy with Mellon's thinking - although that is not to say that Sadler turns out to be a successful signing.

Mellon shows he won't accept players doing alright , he wants players who are performing at an excellent level. The passengers (in starting 11) last year were Gayle and Demetriou, they didn't do too much wrong but they were hardly excellent. If we want to improve, we have to constantly strive to replace weaker players with better ones. Are Tootle and Sadler better than Gayle and Demetriou? Time will tell.

It may have been in league 2, but wasn't it a defensive line-up that broke all our records for clean sheets. Could we have done that with "passengers"?

As a wing back you're never going to be in the game for 90 minutes . Admittedly Gayle was poor some of the time , but I wouldn't even describe him as a passenger . He was always involved in the game . People go on about improvements , I'd rather see our own players improving than going shopping every summer then having a situation where your forcing players out of the club.

Almost every club that wins promotion makes tough decisions to cast aside faithful servants and bring in new blood. It happens at all levels of football, even at the very top where successful clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City continually freshen up their squads and replace players who helped them to previous successes.
