According to a source close to the club, the mystery striker is male.

I hear that both his first name and surname start with letters from the standard alphabet.

If he comes from the West Country, he will probably wear gaiters over his socks.

He should have connections with Blackpool, Barnsley or Fleetwood.
e.g. the man who 3 times turned us down, Chris Dagnall, who played for Barnsley. Even now, MM has said he'll review the situation when Dagnall's short term contract in India expires in January!

He should have connections with Blackpool, Barnsley or Fleetwood. It was looking like Ronaldo up to that point

If he joins, it won't be the first football club he's played for. Although we might be the fust club he's scored for.
If he scores..........

According to a source close to the club, the mystery striker is male. That rules out Jemson making a comeback then.

The new striker does not own a goat. Mike Jackson is allergic to them.
When he's interviewed on shrewsplayer, and Stuart Dunn says, "welcome to Shoosbury, xxxxxxxxx xxxxxx, do you own a goat?
The new man will say, "Goats? ****ing goats? I hate the barstewards".
Bit of a clue there.

Mellon's found a fantastic striker at a friendly Norwich training game and refused to leave his side and driven him up to Shrewsbury would not allow him to leave until he had signed a deal.

That's ruled out Shaun Goater coming out of retirement then. Feed the Goat and he will score!

Well done every Juan, I think we're closing in on our target man now. According to twitter, our lethal target man was never a member of the 70s New Romantics group, Kajagoogoo.
That's narrowed it down a bit.

In fact, I might be able to confirm this, I'm temporary chairman of our local branch of the Caaaaaslte New Romantics group, while our leader goes in for a hip replacement.
It's not Nile Ranger is it? I don't think any Juan has mentioned him.

If he's Scottish, his surname will probably start with Mac, Mc or Muck something.
If he's Welsh, he'll know some Juan called Dai.
If he's Irish, his surname with start with O. i.e., Cocky O'doodle.

MM keeps on about the fact that STILL there need to be outgoings before he can bring a couple of players in.
Robinson, Vincent and Gayle have been paid off, Caton told to look elsewhere, and yet we still have to sit on our hands whilst players are being signed up by other Clubs.
Methinks our whole strategy turns upon getting rid of Vernon. Apart from Halstead and possibly Demetriou there's no one else left to ship out.

We signed 7 players before preseason, it's not like nothing has happened! There's a reasonable chance a player could leave for serious cash meaning we can sign a completely different level of player than right now. And there are always players to suddenly become available late in preseason as their own clubs sign others. MM is quite sensibly giving himself some room to react as and when budget and players become available. I really don't care if we bring no more players until August if it means we get better quality then.

My reference to 'sitting on our hands' referred to our current situation. And whilst I accept that we have already signed 7 players, we are still short of at least one if not two strikers.

Since Shrewsbury's red light district is world famous, I have heard that the agents of several Leicester City strikers, past and present, have been on the phone.

Ignore that last post, The Shropshire Star has removed that story about Shrewsbury's red light district. Apparently somebody leaned their bike against a bay window and left the rear light on when they went next door for some cod and chips. No Leicester City striker, past or present, is going to be signed.

Ive heard he has played alongside another striker in his career before.
He's also played for a team in this league, or it could have been another league, I cant remember.

He's allegedly between 5'6" and 6'6", so he's probably a foot in front.
