They'll have no option but to cover us when we reach the later stages of the league cup!

And we were ignored in the cup against Blackburn, I am not surprised with sky's choices I mean they own the rights to league 1 & 2 football rights BUT only have 2 and 1 game respectively in the opening months of the season. To my mind they can keep the Championship games which they value more and should give the rest to the BBC to screen them instead on BBC 3 as that may also save the channel.

Spot on - far better to be ignored and therefore far more sensible times for our games.
TV makes if far more difficult for fans who actually attend games

I wouldn't p!ss on Murdoch if he was on fire, never mind hand over my cash to him to have Sky. So it's pretty academic to me.

These games that have been selected are on an international weekend.
We play away at Barnsley.
Lets be honest - that isn't a particularly attractive fixture. Burton v Coventry is definitely more attractive and Southend is just local to Sky.

You'd have thought with all the derbies we have this season (if you call them that) , we will be on at some point ! Maybe bbc will put us on against Walsall in the fa cup 1st round.

New ground for me so well worth it... I think!

Nicely put. Could not not give a rats arse if we are on Sky or not. The, " maybe if it's a nice day" brigade will stay and watch at home or in the pub, **** them too, and if it's an away game, those that go away go away regardless. Fed up with the stupid o' clock K.O. times that buggers up the day, and generally bored stiff of footy on the t.v. , premier, World Cup qualifiers et al.

That's the only possibility that could stop the game being played on September 5th, from having a quick look at their current squad on Wikipedia they don't seem to!

Weren't Sky obsessed with Burton last season as well? Just carrying on where they left off. Not bothered myself because I would be there anyway and wouldn't give Murdoch my money either.

Can't remember the last televised league game where we didn't play like a pile of 5hite. Sky can sod off as far as I'm concerned and take their kiss of death cameras with 'em.

Some bizarre comments on this thread. Loads of the clubs in this division would be more attractive for Sky to screen than us (from their perspective). That includes Burton who your average plastic football follower would be more likely to watch than us, purely due to Hasselbaink.
They're running a business, so hardly surprising that they'd try and maximise the attractiveness of their programmes to the Premiersh*te armchair legions.

I think high profile managers help in getting live games. The TV love burton but particularly love Jimmy floyd. And Phil brown is well in with the media world. Micky is quietly getting on with his job. Come on you blues !!
