Not taking any chances of Millwall fans coming up to Shrewsbury to buy tickets are they? This is going to cost the Club money, as there must be some potential new fans that would like to come to watch the 1st game of our season in Division 1, and now will find that opportunity denied to them. Looks like Millwall fans will have to find one of us to front up for them and get 'a nice little earner' for doing so! lol.

Existing supporters who do have an account could buy for a new fan but they need to still be responsible about who they are buying for.

As a Shrewsbury supporter who hates watching the game from behind the goal, where more often than not the away stand is situated, I often have to pretend to be a home supporter in order to get a seat in the main stand somewhere near the halfway line.

Just a thought, for anyone registering for the first time to buy tickets, will they not be included or will they get a deadline to register by?
Is it fans who have a supporter number before today's date?

I'm sure you're in an extreme minority in doing that though.

I think you would probably be able to count people who are completely new to the club choosing to come to this match on the digits of your hands. Any attendance bump is more than likely going to come from returning supporters.

The new on line ticketing system requires you to open a new account so at the moment no one has any purchasing history. It doesn't recognise i hold a season ticket either. Am i doing something wrong ? Big match to bring new supporters to and looks like the system won't allow me to buy them tickets.

If you had an account on the old system the details will carry forward (less any history) but all your details and membership number will carry through to the new system. Emails were sent out with instructions when the ticketmaster system was launched a week or so ago. There was a link to a downloadable pdf file ... link pasted below Link to the PDF
