Just got back from school, went in on my day off to give a little boy a leaving present.
Chatted to deputy Head, Tracey, back from Turkey having taken unpaid leave to support Liverpool.
She's still not really come down off the cloud! She said it was the best day of her life, and her husband doesn't mind that she didn't say her wedding day was!!(He agreed - seeing Liverpool win the European cup was the best day of his life, too!!!!)
I have to say, although it's a MUCH smaller scale- Stoke last year has to come CLOSE to being the best day of my life.
Definitely not my wedding- I was too nervous. Everybody enjoys weddings except the "happy couple." I suspect!
Of course- having my children (after having gone through the inevitable ordeal, of course!) The arrival of my grandchildren.

Lenin guesses you are a young Chester fan. Or you jumped on the bandwagon when Chester actually won something.

From a footballing point of view the Exeter ordeal was the greatest day ever for achieving the near impossible.

The birth of a child puts everything else into perspective.
Footballing wise; Exeter in the great escape year was pretty special. I was also privaliedged to be present in the Camp Nou on 26th May 1999. Great memories.

Exeter in the great escape year was pretty special. That wasnt special, it was the realisation that we were s**t and celebrating almost coming last! My wedding day was the best. Couldnt go to the Meadow so God sorted us a 4-2 victory over Kiddy in return.

As Jamo says - the birth of your children is amazing and nothing else compares. I can still remember the most amazing feeling of holding both my children just after they were born. Complete awe.
Football wise - it is strange - but Exeter. We were down and out, but pulled it out the bag. The scenes that followed in Exeter social club with our Exeter mates, then later in Torquay with our Torquay friends was pretty amazing.

Best day of my life was on Wednesday as well, only got back from Istanbul midday today, after a 7 hour flight delay, well worth it though, so many memories of the Wed and Thurs in Istanbul that it's hard to remember them all. Was in tears of despair at half-time, seems like years ago now!
It didn't sink in until around 3 pm on thurs in one of the Taksim Square bars, with hundreds of reds rammed in dancing on tables still singing, and I looked across at someone's paper where the headline read 'The Miracle of Istanbul', then it started to hit home. Incredible.
We are the champions, champions of europe!
